Great day to be an Aggie!

After knocking off OU, moving into the #3 position in the Big 12 south, getting into position to possibly see a bowl game and seeing Tannehill lead brilliantly for a second straight weekend, I am jazzed.

The fact that Tannehill is a Jr gives me hope for the remainder of this season as well as next season. Our 3 losses to come to Ark, OSU and Mizzou, aside from Mizzou we played very close to OSU and Ark both very good teams this year. I think we can knock off Baylor and UT, NEB will be our biggest challenge.

so you mean to tell me a&m had a qb who wasn't getting the job done so they benched him? Is that legal?

Well it doesn't look that great for other aggies since you are the only aggie posting.

So I guess you are one of them without a degree? Because you can't be a fan cause this is the first time ever I have seen you post in the sports forum.

Are things that tough in College Station? This shows just how inconsequential the football program really is. OU had won 7 in a row going in! A blind sow finds an acorn every once in a while...

I don't post much period...much less in the sports forum. I have a few degrees. I was at A&M through 2002, got a MBA from Webster, and will get a MID from A&M in 2012.

Honestly I'm not a big pissing contest person like a lot of people on here are and I just consider myself a fan (of the Cowboys too unfortunately). You were just giving him shit so I posted up. Sorry if I got anyone upset.

I would say our history as of late has sucked! I'll take a win anyday regardless of who we're playing. To beat a ranked team makes it that much better. Hell I'm a fan win or lose. I do think with Tannehill and DeRuyter things are looking brighter!

The ags had to get JJ out of there. Hell, I hate the ags and it was damned near painful watching that guy try to play.

tell me about it....Johnson is skilled but I think he lets it get in his head. I was really worried about him starting against OU. They would have blitzed and killed him right away. We haven't played good consistent football in a looong time!

The real question here is what happens next year. Will the aggy trend continue with throwing their Sr. QB under the bus for the next up and comer? They've done it to McNeil, McGhee and now Johnson. And i'm pretty sure they did it to whoever was before McNeil too.

At least y'alls coaches will put someone else in

McGee was hurt pretty much most of the time, but the rest of them there's no excuse. I hope they don't do this to Tannehill next year but only the coaches crystal ball knows. Jerrod has sucked it up last year and this year so I'm not upset with him being pulled.

What is tough, is our schedule. We have lost 3 games to 3 top 20 BCS ranked teams as of today. OSU #10, Ark #15 and Mizzou #17, and yesterday we beat the current #16 OU. We still have a tough Baylor squad who just fell out of the top 25, the BCS #8 Neb and a strong but questionable (not be overlooked) UT.

It is not like we have been beat down aside from the Mizzou 30-9 game we lost to Ark/OSU by a combined 10 points 7 or less in each game. I think A&M is a strong team with a equally strong schedule.

Also if we win out and OU takes down OSU we might just scratch out a Big 12 C
Championship appearance depending on how much weight we get in the BCS versus OU and OSU in a three way tie, unlikely but possible.

I don't know, I think Baylor might be a slightly bigger challenge than Nebraska. Even after being shut down by Okie Lite, I can't believe I'm about to say this but Baylor is actually going to be a pretty hard to get win.

The Big 12 is so unpredictable, it's hard to tell what will happen in the next few weeks. This is the year for Aggy and Bear to get something done. It's not too often that you see the Big 12 in such disarray, so they need to take advantage of it this year. I don't know what to expect fom OSU, but they're pretty damn good. If Gilbert plays for UT, expect another 4 INT's or so. You can't beat anybody giving the ball up 4 or 5 times.

That'll happen when you have a fanbase outside of College Station.
