Another Gilbert interception. I swear his release is so slow defenses can read him like a book.

I agree, but the pass was tipped/batted.

I really wonder if this keeps happening, does Mack use some common sense and bench him?

Half the passes he throws are tipped because he takes so long to get rid of the ball once he cocks back. The D line can be like "ok he's about to throw time to jump up."

Gilbert has more tipped passes in one game than most QB's have in a season. His trajectory is too flat for a guy that's 6'3". He's just bad. It's no sin, but he's just sub-par.

I don't think you can blame the first snap on Gilbert, also UT has the talent to easily recover from a 17 point deficit.

I've been saying it since week 3 even when they were winning. These announcers sure are sucking his dick though.

His daddy played in the NFL, just like Chris Simms' dad did. It's a sense of entitlement he has, that kills me.

4 INT's for Gilbert now. What will it take to pull him from the game? I think he's done. I hear there's room on the cheering squad?

Announcers are still sucking Gilberts nuts. They showed stats through first 8 games. Colt McCoy 20 TD's, 3 INT's. Young 11 TD's, 5 INT's. Gilbert 6 TD's, 9 INT's. That 9 doesn't include the 5 tonight obviously. Garrett Gilbert is to throwing interception as Barack Obama raising national defecit.

They also showed wins/losses. They were 7-1, Gilbert at 4-4. Numbers don't lie, little brother.

Gilbert is overrated. So it's 6 TD 14 INT at this point!!

Mack said it "if one guy can't get it done, then I can replace him". I think it's time to replace Gilbert

I'll bet you do! I'm not sure who has the worst "hex" on them: A&M's from RC Slocum, or UT's from Gilbert.

But Gilbert isn't a problem at least according to Bert89coupe. Fucking Gilbert sucks and needs to be benched.

Gilbert is a BIG problem right now.

At this point right now, he needs to sit.

It takes him TOO long to get things together and move the ball, etc.

I agree.

I have been a Gilbert apologist the last couple of weeks, but I cant anymore. Yes the O line gives him no time, and he has had defenders in his face, but after watching yesterdays game, thats only part of it. Gilbert telegraphs his passes BIG TIME! I was confused as to why they didnt bench him. I was thinking maybe they wanted to keep the red shirts on Case McCoy and Connor Wood at all costs, but then I checked and Case played against Rice! At some point they have to give Case the ball and see if it ignites the team.

Yea....

Mack stated in his press conference he was getting ready to bench Gilbert and put McCoy in with 7 minutes to go but McCoy wasn't loose and Gilbert started moving the ball.

Something tells me Texas WILL win next week.

7 minutes? LMAO! I think it was evident when the 4th quarter started, that the game was over. There was plenty of time for another QB to get warm.

I think the decision Mack Brown is facing is "Do I put Case McCoy in in hopes of firing up the team and maybe making some shitty bowl game or do I take the rest of the season in the ass with Gilbert and hope he pulls out a couple of wins and Red Shirt McCoy next season?"

Florida Atlantic SHOULD be a given. However, the other two games are Okie St. and A&M. Let's just say that I'd hate to be making that decision for him. I also wonder if UT will toss Gilberts scholarship?

Mack won't replace gg. He said in the post game interview gg has had bad luck recently and that he hopes that bad luck doesn't continue next week at home.

I'm kinda thinking it's too late in the season for it to matter. However, I won't be very happy if he's starting in game 1 next year. There needs to be a legitimate battle for the starting position in the off-season.

If I'm a badass Texas HS QB, I wouldn't discount UT. I think they're in for a shake-up at QB.
