TCU vs. Utah

Ok the Rangers are thru, the Cowboys suck and i just can't get interested in the Mavericks quite yet this season. So that brings me to this game which should be a good one this Saturday. Two undefeated teams with major BCS implications.

Anyone care? Should i put my money on the Frogs?

Should be a really good game, I've been looking forward to this one since I saw the schedule.... Didn't think both teams would be undefeated though.

I would love to say TCU has this in the bag but nope.... Lol. I wouldn't put money on either of them cause in my opinion it could go either way.

I don't see the Frogs having too much trouble with Utah. It might be a good first half, but eventually TCU will win by 20+

Man I hope so. Utah looked terrible last week against Air Force but they tend to do a lot better at home. Biggest non bowl game in the history of the MWC.

That depends on what Alabama does against LSU this weekend. If they roll over them and then take down Auburn they'll be in the title game against Oregon, even with a loss and two undefeated teams. Then we'll have TCU vs Boise State part 3.

No, beating a top ranked non-AQ team is not the same as beating a top ranked BCS conference team. But what do i know

The only scenario I can see in this situation is as follows.

If Utah wins and Boise win out then Utah vs Boise in non championship Bowl.

If TCU wins and Boise win out then TCU vs Boise in non championship Bowl.

If Boise somehow loses to Hawaii or Nevada then Boise vs loser of TCU/Utah, while the winner of TCU/Utah somehow gets to play in a non championship bowl, but at least they will have to face a team that is not MWC or WAC.

BCS committee has every angle covered, except option 3 will have at least 1 team to face up against a formidable opponent. As much as I don't really want them to, I have to root for Boise to lose.

I bet GameDay will be in Utah Saturday morning! They were in Ft Worth for the first time last year at this game, and TCU blew Utah out. Hopefully this will happen again!

TCU could beat 2 of the top 5 schools this weekend and still not be number one.

Well at least Boise State and TCU should be in the same conference next year, I can't see them ending up in a bowl game against each other 4 years straight.

Math wise, they are quite a ways back from leaping to #2, but they are not mathematically out of it I don't think. Espeically with a loss or two. Auburn still has Georgia and Alabama AND South Carolina presumably. Oregon still has Arizona and Oregon St. always seems to be a wild card and spoiler. They have played some top teams pretty close this year, add in the in state rivalry...I think this year could be an exciting finish.

Could happen. But when the final poll is to come out, i wonder how many voters say "well, i don't really think BSU/TCU deserves it because of what confernce they are in" and moves a one loss Alabama ahead of 'em

I'm not sure TCU could beat 'Bama, Nebraska, or OU. I guess we'll see more soon, but right now, it would take some convincing.

True, TCU seems to be on a mission though. I'll admit that I haven't watched Utah this year so I'm not sure what they'll bring.

Too bad we won't be able to know for sure for a few years to come. Don't forget though (and yes, i know it's in the past), when TCU started really coming up in the rankings 6 years ago, they beat a good OU team in Norman. I love my Frogs, and i want to know, as much as half the nation does, how they will do against one of the bigger schools.

Who is leading the big 12 south over OU? Didn't TCU play them? Don't remember the score though. I'm sure it was a close hard fought game.

Also forget about that 27-24 game against Air Force in Norman, TCU beat them 38-7 while running the clock down in the 4th (one drive was 8 minutes). Texas beat Nebraska at home and we all know OU is a much better team than Texas this year. I really don't think they'd have a hard time against Alabama this year either. Take away their running game like South Carolina did and they aren't the same team.

If that was '05, that was not a very good OU team

For comparison, just look at A&M's last 4 games this season. It's a typical Big 12 schedule: OU, Baylor, Nebraska, and UT. It may not be any one team (two are damn good), but it's a tough run.

Thank God for gamecast at work. Hopefully TCU keeps up the pace and destroys them again.

Keeping an eye on the Oregon game as well with fingers crossed.

Frogs are looking dominant! If they blow out Utah on the road, they deserve to move into the top 2. Honestly though, I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch against Boise in a bowl this year, if nothing else.

Purple reign!

I hope TCU shuts em out. That would be awesome. The #1 and 2's are looking good though. I thought Oregano was going to have a hard time against Washington the it started out, then they broke out. So much for that.

I must say the Frogs destroyed Utah today. I watched/listened to about every play, and they pretty much belong where they are.
