Yanks are 1-4 in Arlington this season and we are 8-8 overall against them this year. We can really win this.

It's payback time. If Wilson and Lee can each face the Yankee's twice (and I'm sure they will), it will be a long series for the Yank's.

Yup. Colby would pitch game 2 and Lee would pitch game 3 in New York, which I'm perfectly fine with because he would be available for a possible game 7.

I am wondering... all this time off for the Yankees after a quick series vs the Twins, will it effect the hitter's timing?

I just want to see the Yankee's lose a series to the Rangers in the playoffs

It will be interesting for the simple fact that Lee and Sebathia will not see each other more than likely, unless there is a game 7. I think the Rangers can take 2, but I really don't think they can get past the yankees mystique.

That being said.... my heart says rangers in 6. My mind says yanks in 6.

I think the Rangers can handle up, as long as the hitters that no showed in the Tampa series show up. Hambone, Young, Vlad, etc. Yankees fell off at the end of the season.

I could see the Rangers taking it in 5 or 6, but nobody is going to beat the Phillies imo.

The first three pitchers in the Phillies rotation are damn near locks to win a game. Just getting past the Yankees would be nice.

I agree. With the addition of Roy Oswalt the Phillies have the best pitching in baseball.

I really thought there was a possibility, however after the Rangers exploded all over Oswalt during interleague play, I am betting his stock went down. Oswalt does have a nasty curveball.

Too old, too injury prone, too expensive. He has worked out well for the Phillies but I think they took a rather large gamble and expense that I don't mind the Rangers not taking.

For that to happen, the hitters would have to show up real big in the NY series as well as the World Series if they make it that far. It's no secret that the Phillies have a solid pitching rotation, so it's going to be VERY difficult to beat them with our pitchers. Gotta beat them with the bats, and the bats just haven't been there thus far.

There are big differences in the NL and AL teams. You just never know until you get to the series.

What this guy said. I'd love to see him pull some of that ball-slapping bullshit he did a couple of years ago in the playoffs.

WOW I didn't think about that aspect of this series.

The Rangers could exercise ALL of their demons this year. Get their first series victory, get rid of a terrible owner, and beat the player that quite possibly put them in the gutter for 10 years.

We are still paying him.

I am already sick and tired of the media proclaiming Lee as good as gone to the Yankees next year. I have seen it on two major sources today and that the Rangers are going to ride him for all they can get out of him. One writer has said a deal would be done by Thanksgiving which is only a few weeks after the world series. I'm sure we will hear many comments from the announcers during the series

Makes me hate the Yankees even more. Personally, I think if the Rangers will make a compelling offer, they have a chance. The problem is the Yankees are well known for making outrageous offers to free agents. Their roster is littered with them.

With the Rangers financial problems and the Yankees huge pockets, it's very possible.

Last night they showed people on the news lined up for World Series tickets at the stadium already. They must be Cowboys fans jumping off the bandwagon and onto the Rangers bandwagon. Typically overly optimistic. lol.

The whole FSSW TV deal included a bunch of upfront cash, so they could re sign guys like Lee, FWIW. Cowturd was screaming as FACT that Lee wouldn't be a Ranger next year, like he had some inside line on the deal. Lee was asked at a press conference, and said Cowherd should quit hiding behind his 'sources' and name the source, in essence, calling Cowherd out. I think they have a better chance at signing Lee than anyone else does. He likes it here.

Possibly, but who knows when it comes to money. And face it, who does he have a better chance of getting a ring with, Rangers or Yankees? Rangers finally won their first playoffs ever and the Yankees make playoffs every year and win the World Series more often than anyone else. The Yankees roster is also stacked and Lee wouldn't have to work as hard making his arm last longer. Just all depends on you look at it. When it comes to money, you just never know what these guys will do.

Do you suggest that people wait until the day before the World Series game of their liking to buy tickets? All teams sell tickets for playoff series that way, get off your high horse.
