Jags' Osgood has minor injuries

Jaguars wide receiver Kassim Osgood sustained minor bruises after being pistol-whipped and jumping from a second-floor window to escape an armed attacker at a Jacksonville residence, the Florida Times-Union reported Wednesday.

Osgood and a 19-year-old woman he was visiting late Monday were watching television when the gunman -- wearing a plastic bag covering his face -- entered the room and pointed a gun at them. Eventually, the gunman and the woman traded gunfire after he stuck a gun to her head and said, "What did that football player say to his girlfriend, it's a good day to die," misquoting a University of Florida player's recent text message to a former girlfriend after an arrest, according to a sheriff's office report.

Osgood, 30, jumped out a window to the lawn below during that exchange and ran to a neighbor's house to call police.

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio briefly addressed the situation at his Wednesday news conference.

"He's fine," Del Rio said of Osgood, a Pro Bowl special-teamer who's in his first season with the Jaguars. "I really can't comment on it. I am aware of it. He's doing OK."

The gunman, 20-year-old Julian Armond Bartletto, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary and violation of an injunction, police said. He was booked into the Duval County jail and is ineligible for bond, according to jail records.

I don't know what to make of that story.

First, how many woman have guns.

Second, how did the woman exchange gun fire with a gun to her head

Third, it is kind of funny he ran out like a bitch for help.

Fourth, there is something shady about a guy just "showing up". Husband by chance?

Ok, now go back and read your post. You never say anything about him jumping out a window.

Then you used the wrong verb tense. Either way, you should sign up for a remedial English class with Paladin.

Anyone else pick up on the bad guy wearing a platic bag on his head?

For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
