Darrelle Revis

Is it just me or does anyone else think Revis is just scared..... Randy Moss burns him deep for a one handed grab and he takes himself out of the game next play and doesn't return. Now with Miami and Brandon Marshall coming to town he still claims to be injured... wtf?

New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been ruled out of the team's Sunday night matchup with the Miami Dolphins, coach Rex Ryan announced Wednesday.

"(Revis) will not travel with us," Ryan said. "He is doing about 12 hours of treatment a day. He's itching to get out there, but we don't want to risk it by putting him out there."

Revis was not on the practice field for the New York Jets during the half-hour window the media are allowed to watch.
NFL Audio Pass

The All-Pro cornerback strained his left hamstring in the Jets' 28-14 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. On Monday, Revis acknowledged that it could take him a week or two to heal.

All-Pro center Nick Mangold also did not practice, but instead rode a stationary bike -- along with backup offensive lineman Wayne Hunter -- on the sideline. Mangold injured his right shoulder against the Patriots.

Linebacker Jason Taylor practiced with a brace on his left elbow after injuring it against New England.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Maybe if he wouldn't have held out so long his ass would be in shape for the season.

I just like how Revis dictates everything, Rex Ryan is a pussy when it comes to Revis. His pride definetly took a hit when he got Mossed.

Possibly... I mean I doubt he is faking the injury but I also seriously doubt he can't play against Miami, I've seen people far worse off still play.

I'm sure Revis will be ready to play next game when they play Buffalo... Who do they have again?

Revis said after the game his hamstring is still in a lot of pain. I wouldn't put much stock in poor play until he's 100%.

I sure can't wait to see him try to cover Miles Austin next season though. Miles Austin has the best stats in the league against elite DBs and I want to see how he stacks up against Revis.

If he was to continue playing with a hindrance he risks turning a strain into a tear....it is not that complicated. I highly doubt Revis(THE BEST DB IN THE LEAGUE)would avoid playing due to his opposition. Moss got him and he was obviously in pain. Guess what...Moss makes that catch against 95% of the league. I am not saying that he still doesnt make the catch against a healthy Revis but his odds definitely diminish.
