I'm amazed he held a job that long. I never could watch CBS pregame, because you can't understand WTF he was saying.

Just as Shannon Sharpe closes in on becoming the fourth Broncos player elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the former tight end has been engulfed in a legal battle.
Sharpe has taken a leave of absence from his job as NFL analyst for CBS in light of a sexual assault allegation against him.

He wasn't exactly a bust... 3-4 years in the NFL and a god damn beast at a running back.... 2,000+ yards rushing in a single season. 2 Super Bowl rings. Set NFL super Bowl record for most rushing yards. I think so.

Correction 4 years starting almost the whole season, after he got injured.

You are high. yes he had a good 3-4 year period and was a monster. But you have to go alot longer than that to be a Hall of Fame player. There are alot of players that just about fit that description who will never even get close.

Bcoop you're stupid.

Everyone knows Broncos players are better then the Cowboys.

Also it's my personal opinion. What he accomplished in the game and outside of the game of football is what I think should make him a hall of famer.

Heck if he played 15 seasons like Emmitt I'm sure he would have accomplished even more by far.

That right there proves your ignorance. Cowboys have FOUR TIMES as many players in the HOF than the shitty ass Broncos. Dumbass.

If being the operative word. Reality is he didn't. *IF* Rex Grossman was better, he'd still be playing in the NFL. See how that works?

Still.... What has Rex Grossman accomplished in the NFL please do tell me..

Now then what all has Terrell Davis accomplished in the league? Thought so.

Two Super Bowl rings
Single season of 2,000+ yards rushing.
Super Bowl MVP
Set Broncos single season rushing record
Set Super Bowl record with most rushing yards

Need I go a little more?

Oh and yeah we have a bad coach you're right. Won 6 straight then went 2-8 or some shit it's crazy. Also if Denver would have kept Shanahan I don't think that would of happened. Kinda like how he switches over to Redskins and beats the Cowboys! HAHAHA! Shanahan still has the upper hand on them Dallas Cowboys.

FYI

Through his first four seasons, Davis rushed for 6,413 yards (4.8 yards per carry) and 56 touchdowns. Among the 24 modern-era Hall of Fame halfbacks and fullbacks, only Earl Campbell (6,457, 4.6 yards per carry) and Eric Dickerson (6,968, 4.8 yards per carry) had more rushing yards during their first four seasons; no member of the Hall of Fame matched Davis’ first-four-season 56 rushing touchdowns. Davis was selected for ESPN's All-Time 40-Man Super Bowl roster as a running back for his performances in Super Bowls XXXII & XXXIII.

Overall, Davis finished his 7 NFL seasons with 7,607 rushing yards, 169 receptions for 1,280 yards, and 65 touchdowns (60 rushing and 5 receiving). He and John Elway are the only two Broncos named league MVP.

also here is something interesting I found just now

Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips and new Washington coach Mike Shanahan just cannot keep avoiding each other.

They worked together on Dan Reeves' staff at Denver . Reeves fired Shanahan, the offensive coordinator, for scripting plays with quarterback John Elway without informing the head coach.

When owner Pat Bowlen fired Reeves after the 1992 season, the talks with Shanahan reached the contract stage before a late switch led to Phillips getting the job.

Bowlen fired Phillips after the 1994 season, replacing him with Shanahan. His debut as Denver's coach came against Buffalo, which had Phillips as the defensive coordinator. Denver won that game, 22-7.

Starting with that game, Shanahan's teams are 5-3 against Phillips' teams. Phillips' teams won the last two meetings. Phillips served as San Diego's defensive coordinator for two wins against Denver in 2006.

Phillips has slowed but not stopped Shanahan's offense. Shanahan's teams have scored at least 20 points in all eight of the meetings.
