Once again, Jerry overpays for someone. They're paying him off of ONE year. Seems kind of silly to me

Austin isn't a one year wonder. I agree to a point though. Barber hasn't done shit since he got his big contract. Of course, they have been using him wrong all these years as well, so it's hard to say it's Barbers fault.

Miles Austin reminds me of a guy we had in St. Louis along time ago Isaac Bruce. Has good hands, good speed, makes good cuts and runs good route. If he can run great routes, he will be good for a long time.

Good for Miles. I don't think he'll be a one year wonder, I think he'll be good for a long time.

Damn sometimes I wonder why Jerry Jones isn't dead broke. I like Austin but heck Jerry, show some restraint man...

Might have been a bit premature if you ask me. I don't see how his price could rise anymore unless he has 5 TDs in the first 2-3 games or something outrageous. The worst thing that could have happened is his production drops and you get a better price for him.

No, if Miles underproduces (where you could get him cheaper) then that means you made a mistake. Jerry Jones made the extension hoping he out performs the contract, and he felt that the deal would be good for him (low risk at only 18MM guaranteed) and good for the team/miles/romo.

A top WR in the NFL could easily get double the money that Austin got.

so fuckin'
