Vikings will win tonight.

Peterson said he fixed his fumbling problem first of all. They turned the ball over 5 times to the Saints 1 in the playoffs last year when they lost buy 3 points.

The Saints will have a loss to start the season off.

If they don't, don't expect me to be around here tomorrow to hear the noise

Watch out y'all. Reggie Bush had a 9 yard rush. He's suddenly not a bust of a pick anymore. He went straight to elite top 3 status. Chris Johnson, you're next.

Maybe he's running a little lighter tonight, without that big-ass trophy in his hip pocket.

Well so much for that wagon. Time to jump off.

Notes of the game.

Maybe if Favre didn't sit out all of preseason he might have done better.
Vikings defensive scheme sucked ass all night.
Vikes couldn't stop the pass or run. So sad.
Favre is not the answer for the Vikings.
I didn't understand the opening Viking drive of 3 straight runs.
I don't think they used Harvin enough.

See yall Sunday after the Redskins beat the Cowboys.

The Saints beat a team who's QB had not practiced, were missing Favre's go-to WR from last year, and two starting corners.......by 5........at home.

I can't believe NOS kicker missed those 2 fg.

Good game either way. I was disappointed that it was a low scoring game though. That lineman on NOS that blocked the extra point was a BIG boy.

I wouldn't call the Saints defense spectacular but the Vikings offense was totally unimpressive with the exception of Peterson. Come on, only 9 points? Geez.

The Saints offense had a lot of dropped passes. I think Brees is going to be all over them this week. I was really getting worried in the 1st half when the Saints only had 4 running plays (WTF?). Did Peyton really have it planned out like that? The Saints certainly pounded the shit out of the Vikes in the 2nd half.

And where the hell was Jared Allen? I'll tell you where. He was busy being Bushrod's bitch. Holy shit I didn't expect that. I knew Bushrod was serviceable but he pretty much dominated Allen.

IMO, Viking fans should be concerned. As a Saints fan I feel there are still unanswered questions on Defense but I have no problems with the Offense. The line is rock solid and the running game is damn good. Those receivers just need to stop dropping easy catches. The real fear for the Saints is our kicker. Hartley needs to withdraw his head from his ass....

Oh yes they did. He couldn't hang on to anything they threw his way. He was targeted, what? 5-6 times? He had one catch the entire game. He was running shitty routes, had fumble fingers, etc.

what are you talking about. Those numbers completely validate his no 2 overall pick. I wish I could go no. 2 overall, bang kim kardashian, win a heisman while getting paid, making millions without being productive on the field.

With 2 attempts 14 yards equals out to what kind of an average? Thought so... over 5.5 yards a carry.

I'm not saying Reggie Bush is the best thing to ever happen to football but I seriously get tired of people talking down on him.

Too me he is one of the most exciting people with a football in his hands and that is what people want to see.

Just last years bullshit doubt anyone cares much

2009 and Super Bowl season

On August 5, 2009, Bush left practice due to continuing problems with his left knee, later to return with his knee wrapped in an icepack. Bush and the Saints have said that he iced the knee as a precaution.[34] Bush missed the last three games of the 2009 pre-season due to a calf injury and to rest his surgically repaired knee. Team officials called it precautionary in nature and stated that Bush would be ready to play during the regular season.

Bush missed games 11 and 12 of the regular season due to soreness in his surgically repaired knee. He also missed most of game 15 due to a minor hamstring injury.

Bush experienced career lows in every major category for the 2009 season. While he had 8 total touchdowns, good for 3rd on the team, Bush was used sparingly during the year. Bush ended the year playing in 14 games with 70 carries for 390 yards and 5 touchdowns, and 47 receptions for 335 yards and 3 touchdowns.

On January 16, 2010, in the NFC divisional playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals, Bush had one of the best games of his pro career. On only 5 carries, Bush rushed for 84 yards including a 46 yard touchdown run. This play was the longest run by a New Orleans Saints player in the postseason. He also added an 83 yard punt return touchdown late in the third quarter, the Saints' last score in their 45-14 win.[35]

In the NFC Championship Game against the Minnesota Vikings on January 24, 2010, Bush had only 8 yards rushing on 7 carries, 2 receptions for 33 yards, and he fumbled a punt return, but one of his receptions was a late touchdown that helped the Saints win their first NFC championship and their first Super Bowl appearance and victory in franchise history.[36] On 7 February 2010, Bush won his first Super Bowl with a 31-17 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Miami.[37]

Still pathetic. Even the "best game of his career" is a fucking joke for a 2nd overall pick. Say what you want, you (AGBAIN, much like your Washington prediction) are the only person in America that thinks Bush isn't a bust. I remember it being a huge running joke on ESPN, Fox, etc. EVERYONE was making fun of Bush and his lack of production.

Bcoop answer me this!!!! PLEASE!!! How many 2nd overall picks in the last decade have a Super Bowl ring and 2 appearances in a NFC Championship game within his first four years?

Also touch downs to go with it!
unless you're implying that he carried the Saints to 2 NFC Championships and a Super Bowl win, championship appearances don't have anything to do with his level of play. For fuck's sake, the Bears went to a Super Bowl with a HORRIBLE quarterback, a position that has far more impact on a game (good or bad) than a running back that doesn't play every down.

He was a important piece in all those games....

Also Reggie Bush definitely opens up the passing game and running game... Did Ya'll see those fakes to him last night on the outside run while Thomas took it straight up the gut? LOL!

Just an FYI, it looks like the 2nd overall pick doesn't workout alot of times. 1990's

2 2 Eric Turner Browns DB UCLA
2 2 Quentin Coryatt Colts LB Texas A&M
2 2 Rick Mirer Seahawks QB Notre Dame
2 2 Marshall Faulk Colts RB San Diego State
2 2 Tony Boselli Jaguars T USC
2 2 Kevin Hardy Jaguars LB Illinois
2 2 Darrell Russell Raiders DT USC
2 2 Ryan Leaf Chargers QB Washington State
2 2 Donovan McNabb Eagles QB Syracuse
2 2 LaVar Arrington Redskins LB Penn State

Some solid players, but only one super bowl win.

Yea, it was probably easy to be a student athlete while getting paid. Why go to class when you can work out all day long?

Banging Kim, I can't blame him there.

Hell, I knew Bush was a bust when he and Leinert choked in the national championship game against UT.

Neither one of them is worth a shit. 0-fer-2 on that USC Heisman bunch...
