I was under the impression that their contracts were based on a specific number of fights, not time?
Also, who are the champions that Chael claims to have beaten? He says hes beaten every champ but Silva. Or is he referring to former champs?
The UFC has a clause in their contracts that they can cancel contracts/employment at anytime for any reason. The only thing the contracts really stipulate is how much money will be made per fight and possible bonuses for wins and appearances etc.
Sonnen has some wins over names who have been champion at some point, or were to be champ but never at the time they were champ. He's just talking shit as usual.
Looking at Sonnen's record and how he wins his fights grinding them out, I don't see how he can beat Silva. Lasting 25 minutes in the ring with Silva is a tall order to ask of anyone.
