I've been hearing rumors the Chris Paul can be had for the right price. I'd love to see him here along with an upgrade at center. Amare would be sweet, Yao if he's not done, even Brad Miller or Joel Pryzbilla would help...

Don't count on it, he will opt out just to sign a deal with Dallas for less money, so that Dallas will have money to go after a big name free agent. And Dallas will have more money if they decide to let Damqueer go........ Why your Spurs need Dirk??? Ya'll have Mat Bonner! And I have heard a rumor that Tony Parker is going to New York, along with Chris Bosh.

I want to see Lerbon James, Kobe Bryant, Paul Gasol, Andrew Bynum & Derrick Fisher on the Lakers starting 5 next year.

Lebron driving to the basket and Kobe with his wide range of shooting.

There would be no point to have a 2010-2011 season if he went to the lakers

Phil is about to retire, so I think the current Lakers will break apart a bit. Gasol and Kobe will stay though.

Right now, I'm thinking Lebron in Chicago bound. They dumped hinrich to clear space and could add another top tier player... They could roll a starting lineup of Rose, Deng, James, (Bosh/Boozer/Amare) and Noah. That's pretty stout, plus LBJ would love to have his jersey in the rafters next to MJ's.

Sad to say, I can't see the Mavs getting anything significant done in sign or trade... hopefully I am wrong.

I would like to see James go to the bulls and see them win a ring. It has been awhile for them. It would be cool to see him here in Dallas but that isn't going to happen.

I am not ruling the Cavs out but when its all said and done i see James in Chicago along with either Amare or Boozer.

I think Wade will resign in Miami along with Bosh. As far as the Mavs, I think they will sign a second level guy. Maybe a Joe Johnson or David Lee. I could even see a Kyle Korver coming here.

i'd like to see more info about dwayne instead of lebron. lebron is just out for money, go with a proven champ that still gets about as much done as lbj with only about half of the support, just imagine if wade had a decent supporting cast. i'd like to see wade go to chicago with bosh/amare just because i think that'd be a nice team. but i really have no care where any of them go, just throwing ideas out there like everyone else

It's being reported that the Mavs are going after Joe Johnson. I know he's an all star but do the Mavs really need another jump shooter?

Supposedly they're going to pursue him via a sign and trade. So I want to know a few things.

What will they have to give up to get him? If they do get Johnson, do they really think that another jump shooter is going to be the missing link? This sucks and I hope the rumors about Johnson prove to be just that.

Well we know they wont give up Roddy for Joe johnson. The only way i see them giving up Roddy would be for Lebron or Wade.

So my guess would be Damps expiring contract and Caron Butler or JJ Barea or some kind of variation to this deal

The Mavs make no sense, they had drafted a center with their 50th pick then traded him. Then they got the 25th pick and picked up a guard. With free agents such as Boozer or Stoudemire they want to go with another shooter. WTF is their deal, we need someone to play that center position. Don't they know this, Haywood is alright but we need more.

If they do try and get Joe Johnson they will probably trade Terry

Why is this so obvious to everyone but the Mavs organization? Really. It's fucking ridiculous. That's their fucking problem. That's ALWAYS been the reason they don't have a ring yet. Because they can't/don't drive the fucking paint.

My guess is Nelly Jr. still has his fathers point of view. Run and gun, keep running and shoot as quick as possible.

That really doesn't work well with a center and basically sets your team up to make quick shots on the outside.

He, like Dirk, is just opting out to maximize his salary. They're both expected to re-sign with their teams.

It's completely ridiculous. Also, it's being reported that a sign and trade could involve Caron Butler. I hope that's not true because he's the only one willing to drive to the basket through traffic. Well Roddy B. is willing to but Carlisle won't play his ass even if it means avoiding elimination from the FIRST ROUND of the playoffs.

I think Paul Pierce is doing it so that way the Celtics can have the salary to resign Ray Allen. Also I think its interesting to see if any teams try to make a deal for Chris Paul.

I'll be pretty annoyed if most of these big name free agents stick with their current teams. In my opinion that will really show they are only about max pay!

Turns out that's wrong. Dirk could have had $96 mil, but it looks like he's re-signing in the $80 mil range. When you've got that much $$, what's a couple mil?

I'm glad I was wrong about that. Dirk is a class act and the most under appreciated athlete in DFW. Apparently others can't be asked to make a little less to help their teams. At least Dirk is loyal.

Of course his loyalty may mean never getting a ring. We'll have to see. I'm still an MFFL.

Amare is going to be a New York Knick. There was photos of him in New York near Madison Square Garden. He has to wait until Thursday to sign the deal to make it official but it sounds like a 5 year 100 million dollar deal.

This pretty much means that David Lee wont be resigned as a Knick unless they do a sign and trade. Now the question is with the Knicks already getting one post player, would a slasher like Wade or Lebron join him

More than likely David Lee is gone with Amare being signed. As far as one of the big 3 going to the Knicks it won't happen. Even with Amare they don't have a great team, and yes Amare is a great offensive player but his defense sucks. They still have more rebuilding to do with that team.

Miami or Chicago will be the teams to watch, I have a feeling Lebron will stay with the Cavs though.

So far i was right on about Bosh and Wade going to Miami. Looks like i was right about Boozer also. ESPN is reporting he has agreed on a 80 million deal with the Bulls.

I fully expect Lebron to go to the Bulls tomorrow.

As far as the Mavs..nothing groundbreaking. I have heard rumors of a sign and trade with Miami sending Haywood and Barea to Miami for Beasely and Jermaine O Neal which is something i like. Beasely has been a disapointment for how high he was drafted but he is still way young and playing with a veteran team like the Mavs he may still blossom.

God I hope not, Jermaine sucks. He's a walking injury who needs to retire.

The Dallas Mavericks have reached agreement on a six-year, $55 million contract to re-sign center Brendan Haywood.
