Against a worldclass k1 level striker. Do you realize how good overroid is on his feet with strikes?

Good enough to make CroCop look like a chump in their last outing for a round.

Rogers was out classed by Overeem, but I also think he learned alot from his fight with Fedor, but at the same time he was too defensive and once it went to the ground Overeem was not going to let him up...

Rogers is a worthy heavyweight, it's just that Overreem is WAY beyond him and Rogers knew it. He's never been defensive before, always going forward. But against Overeem, he looked scared.

Overreem will be the man to beat Fedor if the fight ever happens. M-1 is a bunch of pussies and protecting Fedor by giving him some cans to fight when they can and just outright avoiding other fights.

Of course he was way over matched. It doesn't take a DFWstangs "expert" to see that. They guy could have at least put forth a little effort instead of just being a human punching bag.

Are you familiar with Overreem? How many of his other fights have you seen? I suggest going to Youtube and check out some of his fights. He's a freak monster who will school both Lesnar and Fedor.

It's easy to judge from outside the octagon. Try go and getting in one in front of a beast then place judgement.

Yes, yes. I know all about him. And I've all ways liked to watch his fights. I'm not judging anybody. All I'm saying is it would be nice, for once, to see a competitive heavyweight match instead of all of these guys dodging each other. You could tell, as soon as Overreem came in and walked around the ring, that Rogers was scared.

I get what you are saying and I'm not jumping your shit. Don't take it that way.

Alot of recent new fans to the sport aren't familiar with him since he typically only fights overseas.

Also, alot of people expect the same action and techniques from the heayweights like that they have come to see from the lighter weighted divsions. But for alot of heavyweights, thats just not possible. Only a few, select heavyweights (Overreem, Lesnar, Lashely, Mir for example) are talented/gifted enough with the blazing speed and technique to make it exciting in comparison to that of your Aldo and Faber types. Some heavyweights are coming in around 245-300lbs on fight night, thats alot of mass to get moving - trust me, I know! lol.

I normally agree with most of your posts regarding mma but to say Overreem would do anything against Lesnar other than get dumped on his head and get ground and pounded to unconciousness is crazy. have you seen Overreem fight chuck? or Shogun? I know Overreem is bigger now but he has the same basic style.

I need to stop betting with Silvercobra03 because I keep losing.

Overeem would tear both Shogun and Liddell from limb to limb.

Obviously you're talking about RIGHT NOW, cause Chuck has already knocked mr. Roids out once.

And he would beat Fedor and Brock, but let me guess, your boy Mir could beat him right?

Nope. Overreem is unstoppable right now. I like Mir, but of all the fighters you mentioned -

1. Overreem
2. Lesnar
3. Fedor
4. Mir

That's my order of the fighters in their current places in MMA right now. As much as I detest Lesnar, I think he would beat Fedor. Mir is one of my favorite fighters for sure, but there is no way I can put him ahead of those other HW's.

What no love for Carwin? Junior Dos Santos? Cain? Overrem is Overrated if you are putting him above big brock or Carwin. Do you think Overreem would man handle Brock? No way, if Overreem does not ko him in the first 10 seconds its over. He will get smothered by Brock and baby hammerfisted into a pulp!

Overeem is also a little chinny. If Brock Carwin or Mir for that matter even graze it he is going down.

They weren't mentioned in the above conversation. But personally, I still wouldn't put Carwin in the Top 5 HW's right now. He's still unproven on an all around game so far. I'll be surprised if Carwin even makes it through round one against Lesnar.

That fight was a joke, what fight? Rodgers lost that fight when he stepped into the octagon. He should have come out swinging as it was his only chance. Back peddling with no ground game is a recipe for disaster.

Overeem is huge but how will he move against some of the others, he looks like a pumped up steroid junkie, can he go 3-5 rounds without blowing up,Would like to see if he has any cardio.

Not a fan of Fador but I think people look at Fedor and he looks like a big softy, not a MMA superstar. I think if Fedor got him to the matt he would break his arms, All that muscle kills flexibility.

Oh well, who knows as most these guys will not fight each other anytime soon. Carwin could put him to sleep, Lesner could beat him to a pulp, Mir, if he could get him to the ground would submit him. He looked bad ass against a chump who was scared shitless.

I hope you're right, I can't stand Lesnar. But I seriously doubt Carwin even makes it through the first round with Lesnar.

When Lesnar decides to take someone down, thats where they are going. We haven't seen enough of Carwin to know if he will be able to get up or not, but I seriously doubt it.

Lesnar by TKO round 1.

Wasn't Carwin an all american in college just like Lesner? Besides, Carwin is damn near the same size as Brock

Yup. I wouldn't say they are close in size though. Lesnar has to cut down to 265 on fight night to where Carwin comes in 255-262lbs at his heaviest. Lesnar is probably 280ish on fight night.

We'll see what happens. I hope you are right and Lesnar gets smashed, just don't it happening. But if anyone can hit him on the button, Carwin has a streak of doing so.

Anyone tested Overeem for steriods yet? Went back and watched some of his fights as a LHW and he was taken out by Rua and Liddell, he actually looked better as a LHW, it seems pretty obvious he is pumped up on roids.

Was surprised how bad Arlovsky looked, he needs to seriously think about hanging them up. Big Foot owned him in every facet of the fight.
