Mavs vs the Spurs...the series

I heard Jalen Rose talking about the series on ESPN radio this morning. He picked the Mavs in 6 and I agree. Last year, we took them out in 5, but the Slurs have a healthy Manu Gin-blo-me this go round. Duncan can still bring it, but I think he's lost a step. Maybe he can crank it up for the playoffs. Spurs will be tough, I just don't believe they have the firepower to keep up with the Mavs in a 7 game series. I'd like to see a little RoddyB on Tony Parker. When we had DevHarris, the small, speedy guard situation worked well for us. I think RoddyB can neutralize him a bit. Dirk is looking a bit more refreshed and driven over the last week. I know Kidd is gonna be highly motivated. Yup, Mavs in 6. First game on Sunday.

Mavs have got to step up their defense with Manu & Duncan playing. Last nights win was ugly. They were shooting too many 3-Pointers and jump shots, with Duncan out they should have drove to the basket more. Also, Barea is a mess when tries to move around too much. His turnovers last night were just pathetic, he tries to rush things to often.

I would also like to see Roddy play more, especially against Parker.

Mavs in 5 and Dirk averages at least 30-10 for the series. He knows this might be his last shot playing at this level and he'll lay it on 'em

I have the Mavs in 6, but last night if Ginobli and Duncan were playing it would have been a different outcome. The Spurs would've scored more points, and Dallas dosent have an answer for Blair. Haywood and Dampier were getting embarrassed last night on rebounds

Sure, if they were playing, it would have been different. And Dirk would have played much more than his 28 mins. I think Marion and Butler were the only ones who played over 30 mins, and rightfully so. They are shaking off the rust after coming back from injuries.

I am ecstatic the mavs are getting the spurs and not the thunder. OKC scares me in the first round. They are like the Warriors were years ago. Young with a chip on their shoulder because no one expects them to win.

The Spurs best days are way behind them. About the only one who can still bring it nightly is Manu and he could go out with an injury at any minute.

I will say Mavs in 6. I would like to go with 5 but lets be realistic. This is the NBA we are talking about and everyone knows how officiating goes in the playoffs. Its very difficult to win in 5 anymore.

30 minutes to tip off of the best, but most nerve racking part of the year. hopefully this is the beginning of a deep playoff run for the mavs.

Couple of sloppy turn overs by Kidd. Mavs need to settle
down and run real plays.

Butler is perfect for this team. He actually goes to the rim.

Here they go. If they can take this on another 8-2, this game is over. I don't know why they keep fucking around. If it wasn't for turnovers this game would have been over mid way in to the third.

Man, Butler is making somebodies mama cry tonight. 3 steals, some "D", and drained that 3 pointer to put them up by 12.

Too young and too raw. He was playing terribly the last 2-3 games of the regular season, if I recall correctly.

parker made barea look like a bitch if you actually watched closely. i do cause im highly annoyed with barea and im very critical. he got lost on every pick and roll and that 2nd quarter SA run was cause of parker's shooting over barea.

when barea fills in for kidd he wants to try and run point and setup offense which would be fine if he could. he gets easily swapped by the defender and most of the shot clock is wasted while he spins around at the 3pt line trying to lose them. hell, his favorite move is a pick and rolls with damp at the top of the key... that is the least threatening pick and roll ever.

he is a defensive liability and screws up the offense. roddy IS better defensively and he will slash to the paint (much like parker).

im fine with barea getting some minutes, despite me thinking he sucks he is still a functional player but beaubois needs playoff minutes. more than barea for sure.

Extremely solid ball game last night by the Mavs. If we can keep the Spurs under 100 and win the rebound advantage then I like our chances.

I think Butler is going to be big for us in the playoffs. If he can score 15-20 our offense is pretty salty. We're so much more well rounded since the trade. Dirk, Kidd, Marion, Butler, and Jet all contribute on offense in different ways. Even if Jet's cold (like last night) we can still get scoring from Butler, Marion, and Kidd spotting up on the 3-line. The two headed monster of Damp and Haywood looked good last night.

GO MAVS!!!

Anybody else believe the NBA is rigged? I was waiting for the refs to start letting San Antonio make a run late in the 4th quarter. What was the spread on the game?

For how much? That's actually my section but Row G. I couldn't attend many games this year due to my work schedule so I got the cheapest tickets possible just to keep my season ticket owner status open. View really isn't that bad and your not under the roof. Hell I'm about half way up on that section from the roof

Last ones he had sold for about 65. I'm guessing he might let me have them for maybe $40-55. He's a co-worker of mine. I just want to be sure that I'm able to have a decent view of game before I do get them.

Sounds about right. The view is OK, your still pretty high up. If you haven't been to a game in a while they've added HD screens similar to Cowboy Stadium to bring the action close to the fans in the cheaper seats. It's really not bad and being on Row B means you only have one row in front of you. What seats are they? I prefer end of the aisle seats so I'm not having to go over people whenever I want a beer or what not.
