Time for this team to start gelling. While they had a 13 game winning streak, there was no time to practice together since the trade and various parts missing from nearly every game. With the exception of Tim Thomas - who may only make it back for the playoffs, everyone is back. Damp is ready. JET is playing tonight. Barrea's ankle is fine. Hard to make a statement game against Chicago, but I sure would like to see something tonight or especially against Boston on Sat night.
It shouldn't affect there psyche at all. It was time to end the streak. They can't win them all, and eventually the wear and tear of keeping the streak going would have wore them out. I didn't even know we still had Tim Thomas. I will be happy with the 3 seed. 2 would be nice, but it isn't necessary.
Yeah, Tim Thomas is away dealing with issues with his wife. There was a story about it not too long ago. She has health issues.
And the 2 or 3 seed isn't huge, but I'd prefer the 2 seed. If the Mavs end up having to face Denver in the 2nd round, I'd rather have home court advantage than not, although that doesn't seem to matter too much to the Mavs. I'd still rather play more games here than there.
Good win, game wasn't as close as the final score. Mavs didn't play kidd in the 2nd or 4th periods... I wish they could afford to give Dirk a quarter off here or there...if only they could really put teams away. 13 pts, 8 reb, 4 blocks out of the center position...good numbers, but not sure I like Damp and Haywood splitting time evenly. I think Haywood should get 30-32 mins a game and Damp only 18 or so. I still need to watch them a little more, so I'll reserve further judgement for now. Next up Celtics.
