Alright, golf nerds, what's in the bag???

I decided since I have finally reached a place that I won't likely change from for a while to post up my current gear. Neal's signature is a bit obtrusive, so I'll just post up some current pics.

Mizuno MP32s, 4-PW with ProjectX 5.5 flighted shafts, spined, customer logo paintfill, 2* flat...

Taylormade R7 CGB Max 3 wood, 60g stiff VooDoo shaft, set to draw...

All my gear...

Nike SQ Sumo driver, Graphite Designs YSQ 75g shaft - stiff... Taylormade R7 draw 3 hybrid 55g - stiff flex... Nike SV Tour forged 52*, 56*, 60* wedges with Royal Precision 6.0 spinner wedge shafts... Taylormade Rossa Siena #4 putter

Nice sticks.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

They arent that much harder to hit, but they are less forgiving on offcenter hits. This game is already hard enough...why would you want to make it harder before getting on the course? Other than the "look at me" factor?

I get better contact with these than I do with my X20s... I love the near-nothing offset, the thin profile and the thinner soles. I tried playing a round with my X 20s Saturday after toying with the Mizzys at the range Friday: it did not end well. It took me until almost the end of the round to finally swing the club worth a shit but by that time there was only 2 holes left. I took the mizzys back to the range and was hitting solid shots after 10 balls. They suit me better is all I can think of.

I didn't say harder to hit, I said harder to hit right which I meant less forgiving. I tired my buddies once and I have never sliced with a wedge before and that is all I was doing with his.

He has that false sense of security that gives him temporary confidence with these clubs...happens with all new clubs...you expect them to be better so they are...for a while. When his old swing flaws show back up, he will hit them way worse than the Callys.

That's what I told Don, lol. But hey, at least when he gets the handicap down he won't have to upgrade clubs right??? I love my Mizuno MX-17's, very forgiving clubs, hit so solid and are a little heavier than most irons. LOVE THEM.

Driver: TaylorMade R7 425. Stiff shaft
3 Wood: Matching R7, currently broke
Irons: Mizuno MX-17 3-PW
Wedge: Mizuno 58 degree
Putter: Wilson, won it at a golf tournament and love it, lol.

Balls: I hit Nike One Vapors and as long as I'm not in a tournament I'll hit Pro-V1's on anything within 170yards to the green Can't afford to lose those mofos off the tee box on a bad day!

I am a mid handicapper, 12-15 probably. A little better when I get to play often. But I love golf and that's all that matters.

Lol Dave I don't care if I "look cool" golfing to you, I'm well aware of the fact that you're infinitely better than me at this point. However, these irons are fitted to me in every shape and form... The only excuse I have left is me. I'm hyper-critical of anything I want to do better, this leaves me no outs. Get better or give up.

And my handicap is 29.2, btw.

I'm around a 15-18 handicap. Here's what i'm using:

Driver: TaylorMade R7 SQ (xstiff, 9.5*)
4W: TaylorMade R7 (stiff, 17*)
Irons: Cobra FP's (stiff steel, 3-GW)
SW: Cleveland CG10 56*
LW: Cleveland CG10 60*
Putter: TaylorMade Rossa Imola

Love my Cobra Irons. They are Game Improvement and have a nice balance of feel and forgiveness for a mid-high handicapper. I usually play Titleist NXT Tour balls.

I still play with my old Taylor Made Burners for Driver and 3 Wood... Old Mizuno Cimarrons for 3-PW. A Ping Eye 2-iron. Cleveland SW & LW... A Ping Answer 3 putter. No reason to change clubs though I have considered it many times over the years. Wondering if it would improve my game.

I use ProV1's most of the time unless a vendor gives me something free to play with.

Hrmm... havent played in a year or so... hope the weather stays nice for a while.

Driver: Taylormade r460 10.5
3 wood: Cleveland Launcher
3 hybrid: TourEdge Exotics
4 hybrid: TourEdge Bazooka JMax
Irons: Cleveland TA6, cavity back
Wedges: Titleist Vokey
Putter: late 70's Ping Anser

I've had most of these clubs for around 5 years and love them. I just got the 3 hybrid TourEdge Exotics because I had too big of a gap between my 4 hybrid and my 3 wood. Depending on the course, there are usually 1-2 par 3's where I'll need that club.

I really like my TA6's, I think they were $400 when I got them. Excellent entry set, the only "working" the ball I ever do is on accident anyway

The Vokey oilcan wedges are awesome. That's the part of my game which takes the longest to get back when I take some time off.

A friend found this old Ping Anser at a local golf shop a few years ago. I love the weight and feel of this club. Not to mention that it's a great feeling putting better than most of the guys with their $300 Cameron putter. I don't play enough to have my long irons and driver perfect, but I can make up strokes around the green.

I've been playing seriously since july... I play riverside, bear creek, mansfield national, fossil creek and iron horse with regularity.

My handicap is lower than 29.2, I was being funny.

What did u shoot at fossil creek?

I do not keep track of my handicap yet, but I just found our what all I need to do to do that and will pay my 25.00 bucks and start tracking it as of this Saturday.

I normally shoot 95-103 with a best round to date of 93 and many 95's. I shot a 105 on Saturday and then played nine the sat before, it was 41 degrees and windy, so I had to walk away from what was potentially my best round going at a 41.

I track mine on my iPhone. App was 99 cents and, while not USGA sanctioned, is accurate.

Oddly enough, my best round ever was at fossil. 92. This past Saturday I shot a 112, too much toying with my new approach wedge (I do not like it)... I'm getting used to the new irons tho, totally different ballgame than my X20s.

My buddy just picked up a set of x18's. Man they sure do hit nice. Once I learn to make consistant good contact with my clubs, I might pick up a set of these.

What the iPhone app called that you use?

Oh and on the wedge, worst club in my bag. I could leave my sand wedge at home and it wouldn't change my game one bit. Now I am pretty good with the pitching wedge and my 7 iron around the greens though.

**SKAGG NASTY** Just another 9 second street car.

The app is called iHandicap.

I love my wedges, short game and wedge play is where I make up for my sloppy approach shots. I just need more range time with it.

Wow, you got some nice shit. I got more money in my bag then my whole set of clubs. I use a square head driver (no clue what name) with a badass shaft. Had to buy it from a friend when I dented it at the range Bought some bubble shaft graphite TaylorMade irons off ebay for $35, someone gave me a ping 52 degree wedge and a nice Golden Bear putter. My bag is a Ogio I got off ebay for $75. I'll get pics as soon as I get them back, left them in a friends car this weekend. I am going to score a nice Nike HL hybrid setup as soon as I care enough to spend the coin on golf clubs.

dude there's a ton of last 'year model 4 cheap'/hook up/eBay special stuff going on in that bag.

$160 hybrid = 'demo' club (still in the plastic)... $40.

Less than $400 in the iron set including the shafts, fitting, grips, all custom work etc.

Siena putter from a guy that bought it on impulse, went back to a mallet PING, for $55.

Craigslist bag... $25.

Shit like that makes good golf stuff affordable. I have yet to pay Anywhere near full rate for any equipment.

What is your swing speed with a driver, what is your most common iron miss (fat, thin), what is your real scoring average?

Uhh.... I picked one of these up at Dicks and tried it. Thats the only time I have hit with a machine and can't remember my swing speed. I will have to go again and give it a shot. My misses are bladeing (sp?) it so the bigger heal should help that a lot. And my real scoring average is no where to be found. I kept score one time at Sotogrande, 4, 5, 6 on every hole. I am really bad but getting better.

Yeah we are the same height too so I could try his clubs. But they look left handed im right. I took one lesson at Arlington Golf Center for 30 minutes and it helped a ton. I hit about 1 in 10 shots where I want to hit them.
