McGrady is a piece of shit. I'm surprised you aren't throwing a party, Paul. Exactly what has he ever done in his entire career for Houston? Except keep the wood warn, of course.

Mcgrady had a good first year with Houston but since then injuries have kept him out for quite some time. Unfortunate b/c before Houston he was leading the NBA in scoring several times and was just a great all-around player.

Right now talks with Bulls & Knicks, who knows where he will end up. I'd like to see him have one last good season and then retire, he needs to.

Well next year aren't the nicks suppose to be picking up either Lebron James, Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh?

no doubt this move is to make them look more appealing to a big name.

mcgrady could be easily be great if he doesnt get injured.

haha, yeah brent i will be glad and sad to see him go. when/if he is healthy he has proven to be one of the greats. its just the whole only playing 10games a year thing.

plus it should land us some young talent.

god bless.

He's more valuable as a $23MM expiring contract than a player at this point... frees up cash for NY to make a big offer in the summer.

Ok, so I wish I had saved the link and text because he did end up in New York, but the article I read yesterday said he was going to Sacramento. I wonder if it got yanked at the last second or what. Anyway, he's in the Big Apple.

I think both Houston and Knicks are winners in this trade. The Knicks win in this deal because they can clear more cap room for the upcoming free agency period this summer. They also get McGrady, and who knows under Mike D'Antoni he might be able to be productive.
Houston wins in this because they are in the mode of winning now. They get Kevin Martin who will offset Aaron Brooks in the backcourt and give Houston another scorer. They also get rid of Tracy McGrady, a guy that they wanted to get rid of anyways
