Exclamation Boy's vs Dirty Birds...

I'm thinking a shootout with a final score total approaching a c-note. Though I really think that the Boy's defense is going to have a break out shut down game.

Boy's - 38
Dirty Birds - 17

I took Atlanta at -4 last week at home against an inept Chicago team, and count myself lucky they won/covered.

Turner and Gonzalez have a big game, but Romo and Austin help in a come from behind win. Otherwise, birds in a blow-out...

The line on the 'Boys has gone to -5 1/2 since I first placed my bet, so the public (at least the public at the book I use) is lopsidedly taking the 'Boys. I don't necessarily like that, because the public is usually wrong with respect to sports wagering.

if you false start 2 times per drive, you should probably do something about that. until then you switch to a 1 count.

wow, boys look good so far.

that first quarter hit seems to have helped romo clear his head. accurate throws, moving well, reading defense, even threw in a jedi move to top it off.

glad to see, hope it stays!

It looks like the Cowboys might have "turned the corner". This would be considered a proper ass-whipping of the highly touted Falcons.

GREAT:
romo
austin

GOOD:
o-line
d-line
secondary
special teams
passing routes seemed much better.

BAD:
false starts
offsides
couple of stretches where garrett gave up on running

that's a pretty small BAD list. i can live with that. they really need to work on the mindless penalties, those untimely false starts are drive killers.

They were talking to someone on ESPN today before the game. Not sure if it was a player or not. He said in Dallas if you are the top paid guy you start no matter how bad you play. If you are #2 you stay on the bench no matter how good you ay have done that one play you went in. This is so sad and so true about the Cowboys.

Austin has been the shit for the last 2 games!! Crayton actually got scared he was going to lose his job after all the fuck ups last game and did what he had to to keep his job

Lets not forget Williams has a hurt ribs. If you have never had hurt ribs you have no idea the horrible pain. A small cough makes you want to cry. as i said earlier, top paid is first played :-/

I don't think people jumped off the bandwagon. It's just a simple fact, Cowboys fans only complain about the bad things, and never cheer on their team when they have done something good. It's been that way forever. The fans expect greatness, and when it happens, they just say "well that's the way it should be, why should I have to award you with cheers?".

Good game for the Cowboys. All around good effort, and the defense made plays. The defense has to make plays to win games. They can't get by with just doing the bare minimum.

Still expecting greatness after fifteen years of mediocrity? Just like Browns fans, I suppose -- worthless.

Yup, they just don't accept that the cowboys are just like every other franchise now. What's the phrase?? They are seeing through rose colored glasses?? Be real people, every team in the league has just as good of talent as the Cowboys. Just judge them for what they are, not for what you think they ought to be because some team 15 years ago dominated for 3 out of 4 years and had one bad game in san francisco.

I think the Cowboys played a great game yesterday. Shutting down Atlanta was no fluke. Romo and Austin seemed to have found something here. Sans stupid penalties that they can't seem to get away from, I think the whole team played well. I wish they all were as jacked up as Brooking during the games, though. I like watching him pump every one up.

Now I'm curious what the sports stations are going to have to bitch about this week. It's like they aren't happy if they aren't Romo, Garrett, Phillips, Jones bashing. I'm not always thrilled about the decisions the aforementioned make, but fuck man, they played an awesome game, give them some credit already.

You realize that the Steelers had a 26 year drought without a Superbowl, right? Dallas has NEVER hit a dry spell like that. Of course you younger guys forget those facts because it was before you became a "fan", but I'll remind you how bad they stunk during a lot of those years, and how the AFC was totally dominated for most of those years, too.

Once again, Rothledhefer shows what an average QB he really is (with that incredible 88 QB rating yesterday), and how the defense scored more than his offense could.

Just a little reality check...

Of course, I forget about it! What kind of fan am I?! https://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/show...3&postcount=60

The Steelers have NEVER gone 15 years without a playoff win.

An average quarterback who passed for 400+ yards the week before and has the highest QB rating in the league?

There's your reality check, bub.

Again, I've got your "bub" swingin'. His "88" from yesterday, doesn't lie.

26 years without a Superbowl win! What's that feel like?

I will, however, give you credit for acknowledging how bad Steel really was, even though you had to see it to really believe it.

Definitely not as bad as 13 years without a single playoff win and only the occasional playoff game appearance. The team that you loathe so much has more Lombardis than the Cowboys. How does that feel?

I've hated the Steelers longer than you've been alive...true! Those long Superbowl droughts are something I just don't think I could handle, especially if I was living in a shit-hole such as Pit!

Play-offs are pretty much meanlingless, just ask the Bill's and Jim Kelly. Nobody remembers who came in 2nd...
