Pats vs Bucs in Wembley

So what's your thoughts on this game being played in London every year? I for one think it's pointless. It is just a spectacle for the Europeans to laugh at. NFL Europe couldn't make it. I just don't see the NFL branching out to Europe in a permanent fashion.

I don't mind an occasional pre-season or regular season game being played there, but leave the Super Bowl out of it!

I forgot about them thinking about having the super bowl there. That is plain ridiculous. You wouldn't see the championship for their soccer league played in the US. I don't see why we would even contemplate it. I guess that is just an example of America whoring itself out for money.

I don't approve of any games over there. People buy season tickets to see their teams, they shouldn't have to lose a game for overseas play. Just retarded imo

I would think they are prorated so the fans are paying for only 7 games. What I don't get, is why is the NFL trying to bend over bankwards for a market that obviously does not want their product.

Looks like they want to expand it to more regular season games.

NFL wants more games in London
By Mark J. Miller

These days, London gets one NFL game every year to stage in is Wembley Stadium. But the plan is apparently to add another next season, according to BBC News.

In fact, if it goes well enough next year, NFL UK bigwig Alistair Kirkwood is saying the league would like to have four games across the pond by 2012.

And why not? The place is jammed every time the NFL comes to the place, meaning a boatload of dollars for whatever team agrees to come on over. This weekend, the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers get their share.

Kirkwood would like to have one game at the end of September and one at the end of October next year.
