Vikings in the Superbowl? If not then who?

Was it just me or did the Vikings look very well organized and in sync? Was it just from watching the Cowboys then watching this game that made it look like two different leagues? I think they may have one weakness in passing D but I think thats it. They only had two penalties for a total of 10 yards! I don't think the Cowboys can do that this season. Now all bets are off if Peterson or Favre go down. Who do you think will make the superbowl this year?

Im still not ruling either the Steelers or the Giants. I hate them both. Since the cowboys obviously are not going to do anything this year. I am gonna pull for Farve and the Vikings. The looked really good last night. Farve is just out there having fun. He is so talented even at almost 40.

I would love to see the Aints in the big game, not sure if they have ever made it that far.

Nope, they have only won one maybe 2 playoff games. In 30+ years.

Like the man or not, Brett Favre at 80% of his potential is still better than most qb's. He seems like he is playing within his limits and adapting well. I think they have a shot if he can stay healthy.

All I care to see in the bowl are:

Dallas Cowboys(aint happening this year)
Baltimore Ravens
Saints
Vickings
or Chargers

I keep an eye out for these teams every year, looks like 3 of the teams have alot of Superbowl potential

AFC: Once again, are far better than most NFC teams, so there's lots of possibilities

Steelers
Ravens (ugh)
Patriots
Colts
Jets

NFC:
Giants
Saints
Cowboys (if they pull their heads out of their collective asses)

Uh.... Are you sugesting the Cowboys have a chance to make it to the Superbowl this year? Thats a Homer call if I ever heard one. I am a Cowboys fan BTW have been since the early 90's. But Wade and the boys are going to lose in the first round of the playoffs AT BEST.

Homer? Have you checked my avatar? Have you not seen any posts I've made concerning the Cowboys? I absolutely hate them! I did say at the start of the season that they will have a better record this year than last and I stick to that statement. If they pull their heads out of their asses, they have a good shot. Lethal running game with 3 very solid running backs and 3 solid-decent wide receivers is a recipe for success in my book.

I saw it but though it was a bet you lost or something. I really don't read much in here so I didn't see all the Cowboy bashing (and rightfully so). On a side note I heard today that Romo didn't know the last play was fourth down! WTF!

I really don't know if Favre can remain effective and healthy for 16 games, much less 19-20. Everyone is quick to forget how quickly he faded at the end of last season with the Jets, and I remember him doing something similar his last year with the Packers. At age 40 the continual beating of four months of football is going to take a toll on him. Luckily he has AP to shoulder the load, but I'm still not sold on Favre having what it takes to go to the Super Bowl.

I said in that super bowl prediction thread that if the vikings got Favre then they would be the team in the NFC to go to the super bowl. Looks like i knew what I was talking about so far.

Cowboys aren't going to the Super Bowl. They won't even get to the Playoffs. Their offense just isn't working and the defense isn't pressuring the other QB in any way. The CBs are getting burned, the RBs can't stay healthy, the WRs are bit players. MartyB has FOUR receptions in FOUR games. Pathetic.

Geof, want to put $20 on the Cowboys playing in the postseason? I say they won't, and you say----?

Vikings looked poised to win the North. But just like last year, I see them losing early in the palyoffs. I think several NFC teams are better than they are and can beat them in a playoff game.

Giants
Saints
Eagles

Going to be fun as hell to watch though! That game last night was great!

I don't remember it either, but as of right now you appear to be right. Honestly, that's the first time I ever remember you showing even a hint of football knowledge. Kudos to you.

They're a force, but I don't think Farve will last til the end of the race.

I love the crowning of the September football teams as Super Bowl winners. Remember that Favre started on Fire in NYJ last year..... I'd wait till December to start anointing them as SuperBowl favorites.....

I know where you're coming from, but everyone is crowing this team or that as a SB favorite, early on. It's part of football. The talking heads are the main ones that push this type of football banter.

But when he was with the jets he didn't have a running back like AP. So with a running back like that means less hits on Favre, so I don't think Favre will slack off like he did with the jets.

AD is hands down the best back in the league, and will likely go down as a top 3 ever.

However, Thomas Jones and Leon Washington are no slouches. Jones was a fucking beast last year, and Washington has that Darren Sproles-esque style. Both of them were badasses last year. Not the best in the league, but they weren't Larry Johnson, either. Just pointing that out, because you made it sound like the Jets running game sucked.

LOL. Some putz in my FFL thought he was going to pull a fast one. He tried to offer Adrian Peterson (the shitty one) to me in trade, for Andre Johnson, because I am stacked at the WR position. Jackass.

Vikings look good, we'll see how they finish.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.
