Broncos vs. Cowboys

I say the aggressive defense of the Broncos twist Romo's head up and he has a mistake prone day.

Orton plays another mediocre, mistake free game passing for around 200 yards and the O-line spends all day chopping Ware and the rest of the defense.

Flozell will have 3 penalities.

Final score:
Denver 24 Dallas 13

As much as I would love to see it, I believe Denver suffers their first defeat.

I have not seen ONE highlight of Denver. I do know they have a couple of good recievers. My problem is Orton just isn't very dynamic, which I think probably slows them down. And if they are going to play a slow tempo grind it out game, that is in the cowboys favor. Barber will be back, and choice will be backing him up, jones, well who knows with him.

27-13 cowboys.

The Donkeys have beaten the Bengals on a fluke play, the Browns, and the Raiders. That's not much of a resume. The same thing could be said about the Cowboys wins but I think Carolina and Tampa rank above Cleveland and the Raiders.

Orton throws 2 INT's, the Cowboys run wild, and Dallas wins by 2 TD.

I'm predicting 4 turnovers by Denver's offense. The boys win easily in a 31 to 3 beating.

Isn't that giving him a little too much credit? It will likely be closer to 5 false starts, 1 tripping, and 2 holding penalties.

Boys by 14. No matter how much pressure they give Romo it looks like they figured out how to dump off to the either of the backs.

I saw one. The last play of their season opener: pass deflected (can't remember if it was off a receiver or defender), another receiver caught it and ran it for a touchdown.

Denver is #1 in overall defense (YPG) this year. I think the Boys sloppy D will make this game closer than it should be.

17-14 Cowboys

As said earlier, who have the Broncos beat this year?

Yeah, I know I'm not one to talk about who's team has beaten who, but I feel the Cowboys are far superior to Denver. Maybe that will work out in my favor, but I still see the Cowboys running away with it.

Until they get to 1st and goal from the 1 yard line, then it's pass, pass, pass, kick.

If Dallas plays like they did in the first half, they will be in a struggle. Remember Denver has Brian Dawkins and he knows how to go against Romo. They also have Champ Bailey on corner.

If they play like they did in the 2nd half, they will win.

Orton isn't flashy, he isn't going to make spectacular plays but he dosent make mistakes. Also take the thin air in Denver, that could also play a factor.

what the hell was that by the way. The first one I understand. Get Roy one single coverage and if the ball was a little higher then its a touchdown. The 3rd down play should've been a running play.

They also have Dre Bly on the other corner... the secondary is pretty damn good but as stated they haven't played much of anyone.

Dallas should be fearing Denver's near 200 run yards per game right now... buckhalter and moreno are no joke so far.

Cowboys are a much better team overall, but it will be a nice test for Denver. I hate to say it but the boys win this one... actually they are in denver. I'll take the broncs by 3

There is so much wrong shit in your post, I don't know where to start.

Shut out the Bengals? Last I heard, shut out is when the opposing team doesn't put up any points. Denver hasn't shut out anybody. In fact, the Broncos were LOSING up until that fluke tipped pass that fell in Stokley's hands. That's some fluke shit that very rarely happens. It certainly wasn't skill.....

The Bengals didn't 'whamp' the Steelers, either. Whatever the fuck 'whamp' means. Are you Canadian? That would certainly explain a lot about you.... They beat the Steel by 3. That game could have gone either way.

Sure, Denver beat Cleveland and Oakland convincingly. But in case you haven't noticed, it's Cleveland and Oakland. They haven't been good, well.... Ever.

Actually my pot bellied little friend, Denver led all the way up until the last 40 seconds and pulled the famous Mile High Choke in the 2-minute drill. Cincinnati only led that game for 25 seconds.

Romo does his best when he gets away from pressure, but he succumbs to it very easy. A couple of early knockdowns and big hits and his head will be swimming when Garrett calls for a shotgun play on 3 and 1.

Should be a good game, we are #1 in rushing (YPG) and our stud Barber should be back and playing pissed. Along with TC in the backfield we should be able to make them keep eight in the box and play action will open up the passing game. Whitten is due for a break out game and this could be it.

Yes, they beat the bengals who in turn beat the steelers but the steelers don't have Palu Malu (sp?). The Steelers hardly ever put up many points b/c they don't need to. Their defense is badass, but without that crazy Tongan fucking people up, their defense is only pretty good.

Someone direct Garrett to this thread. Seriously.

This is the gameplan....

Running Game -

Run up the middle, and around the right end. It works. We gain positive yardage. We have the backs to punish them on the ground. Run the ball. When in doubt, run the ball. In fact, unless it's third and long, RUN THE GODDAMN BALL.

Passing Game -

I shouldn't really have to type this up, but you apparently don't get it. So, here it is. Learn it. Live it. Love it.

They're going to put Champ on Crayton all day. ALL DAY. Count him out, and don't even THINK about throwing it his way unless Bailey is rolling on the ground.

The other CB (don't know who it is), will be covering Roy Williams. Now, I know this sounds backwards, but it is what it is. Why? Because Dawkins will come over the top to help, just like Sensabaugh and Hamlin did with the Panthers on Monday. Count him out. All day.

They're just out there for distraction.

So, should you find yourself in third and long situations, follow this advice.

Witten is a beast. Use him. Across the middle, over the shoulder to the sidelines, etc.

Two tight end sets, confuse the living shit out of defenses. Especially when you put one of them in motion. Marty B ain't bad. Use him.

Follow this, and I GUARANTEE a win on Sunday.

Prior to Polamalu going down, I would have agreed. But seeing them play without him for two weeks now, I disagree. Strongly.

Without Polamalu, their defense is mediocre. Not good, or pretty good, or even mildly good. Just mediocre.

Romo check down? The ladies dig the deep passes!
I think Romo has a 2 pick day. I also think that Garrett uses Barber sparingly because it isn't a 'crucial' game. He'll get the ball 8-10 times. Choice will get it 17-20 and Romo will have a shit ton of throws, a sore back and a battered QB rating.

Without Polamalu, their defense is mediocre. Not good, or pretty good, or even mildly good. Just mediocre.
I was probably being a little generous b/c they're the defending champs.

I was just looking at Romo's career stats VS. Big Bens. Tony averages just over 1 interception per game, and Ben averages just below over his career. Tony has thrown for 11,297 yards to Bens 15,834. That's with almost 30 less games? On paper, Tony is a better QB. I think the only reason we hear so much shitty talk about him is because he's on the local team. Big Ben has thrown less TD's and more interceptions this year than Tony has so far.

Just something to think about for all those people that think Tony is not a top 5 QB and Ben is. I don't even want to look at Drew Brees' numbers. I might shit myself.

The difference between Romo and Booger is this. Booger keeps a cool head. Tony gets an itchy trigger finger. I can't really fault Romo for that, because if he was the opposite, he'd be just like Ben, and boring as fuck to watch. It's just one of those things that you have to take the bad, with the good. Romo is a risk taker. He gets a little rattled from time to time. Booger, isn't a big risk taker. He's going to make the safe throw, 99% of the time. Whether it gets him a TD, first down, or not, it's what he's going to do. He's there to drive the bus, not make plays.

I'd say the difference is you never know which Romo you're going to get each game. It seems like Tony either throws no picks or multiple picks in a game. Never just one. That's probably why his interception numbers over a season probably aren't much worse, if any than any other QB, it's just that those aren't spread out evenly and it costs them games. That's just my thoughts on the situation. Although, he did manage to throw 5 picks in one game and the boys still came out with a win.

SHUT OUT the Bengals? You can't be serious. Denver won that game on PURE LUCK by a pass deflection off the corner. Even if they had won the game without that play, 13-7 is not a shutout.

You beat the Browns, who haven't had an offensive touchdown in what, 8 or 9 games?

And then Oakland is, well, Oakland. Most inaccurate QB in the league, their new receiver has no hands, McFadden fumbles 50% of the time, and the defense is incredibly inconsistent.

Dallas is going to romp Denver nasty. I don't know what sports columnists were thinking rating Denver in the top 10-12 this week.

Ratings showed Denver at 15 citing the teams they beat.
But the only team that ranked higher than cincy that Dallas played was NY...how did that game go?

Yeah I think I was thinking of Cincy. IIRC they're at #11 on NFL.com. Denver is ahead of us though and I don't think they're a better team.

Yahoo had Dallas ahead of Denver (like 11 vs 15 or something along those lines)

Carolina 0-3
Tampa 0-3
NY Giants 3-0

Like Dallas played much better teams than Denver.

I think they are fairly evenly matched. Denver has a new coaching staff, new defensive scheme, ton of new players, and they seem to be getting a little more consistent each week.

They've done studies you know.... 60% of the time, it works every time

We had a pretty big mismatch-up over there, but twice in a row? No thanks.

Dallas put up 31 points against New York's top 5 defense. That says enough right there about how this game is gonna go that's only 3-0 and #1 in defense because they haven't played anyone worth mentioning.
