Devastating news for Baylor...

Griffin is out for the rest of the year. I loved watching this kid play and he did some real damage against OU. He hurt his knee and finished the half wrapped up which is also impressive. I know there at least a couple Baylor fans on here and I honestly
was hoping on a bowl game for them this year!

The second string kid isn't too bad he graduated from here in Wichita. Baylor keeps getting a lil better each year in football and even in basketball.

Yeah, except he couldn't get Houston into the top 25...

Sucks about Griffin...he had some potential. Hope it's not career ending, for his sake.

I hate to see ANY kid with a devastating injury. Baylor was a real up and comer, and he was a big part of it. I hope his recovery goes well.

That's why you don't put a star player as your avatar. Good job slowhand.

Madden curse wha?

It's been a pretty somber afternoon at my house. It's all anyone is talking about, yet everyone's sick of hearing about it. The worst part is that he came back out for an entire series after he went down, so everyone assumed it was just a minor thing until we saw it this afternoon.

Szymanski played fairly decently his Sophomore year before Griffin arrived for his Junior year. The difference now is that there's much more of a team around him than there was before. Luckily our next game is against Kent State gives him some time to settle in to playing an entire game of football because he looked slightly uncomfortable in the 2nd half of the game against NW State.

All is not lost, yet. But I'm not holding out much hope. Part of me still thinks that Art Briles is just playing a sick joke on everyone.

Szymanski is hurt too...but possibly not serious.

Crappy news after watching baylor kneel the ball at the 5 yrd line to prevent running the score up to 75 pts Saturday. Be nice to put some wins up so we don't have all our hopes based on one player...

Szymanski should make it out. He's got nothing to lose; it's his Senior year and he's probably not getting drafted. I certainly hope he does, because they can still do some good if he plays as well as he did his Sophomore year.
