Seneca Williams likely starter for Seahawks
By Mark Miller
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck(notes) is really hoping to play this coming Sunday against the Chicago Bears despite having a fractured rib. But it's looking more and more likely that backup quarterback Seneca Williams is going to get the start and head coach Jim Mora is starting to plan for that, according to the Associated Press.
"Right now, we'll probably do that -- unless we get word otherwise," Mora said. Hasselbeck is also saying that at some point in his Seahawks career he's played with a broken rib so this should be no problem at all.
Meanwhile, Williams is picking up where he left off last year when he started eight games because Hasselbeck had a bulging disk in his back. He completed 15 of 23 passes for 127 yards with a touchdown and interception while finishing Sunday's loss.
