Giants v. Boys

Anybody going to the game? If so where are you sitting? I am in section 303 (half way up in one of the corners). I have never been to a football game, so I am really looking forward to it.

Has anybody been to the new stadium? What did you think of it?

I'll be there. Planning on arriving before they even open up parking. I have a party pass so I gotta be up at the front of the line to get a good seat.

How do you think the Boys will do against the Giants? I dont know about this one, the Giants and Eagles looked really sharp in defense today. Our Boys defense didnt look in sync or agressive.

It will be a tough one

Im excited.
The boy's "D" was weak in the first qtr. We just keep letting tampa run right through us. We got it together. This maybe a replay from 2 seasons ago, when we were a second half team.

Giants D looked solid, offense struggled. I think Cowboys will win, they just have to get their secondary to step it up.

The Cowboys need to work on their rush defense! Their pass defense and offense looks good! I think it'll be a great game! Cowboys favored to win by 3 so far. I think it'll be 27-20 Cowboys!

My gut says Giants by 14, but my heart is saying Cowboys by 30! I hope they make the first real game a win. You know the Giants want to come in and whip that ass in the new stadium. It's going to be an incredible game, but I also predict some serious first-quarter jitters on both sides. They're going to be psyched up for it. Can't wait.

I wouldn't give their defenses that much credit. Remember, the Giants were playing the Deadskins. Campbell doesn't exactly burn defenses, unless of course he is playing Dallas. And the Beagles played Carolina. The only thing Delhomme does consistently now is throw the ball to the other team. On that note, the Cowboys d looked pretty shaky. Giants are a good test to see if its just first game jitters, or if its going to be a trend.

The Giants couldn't put up but one TD against the Redskins defense. They'll be lucky to even break into a double digit score Sunday.

But the giants play alot harder and different for some reason when they play the cowboys. And I would think they want to spoil the home opener of the 1 billion dollar stadium.

And who's to say Dallas won't come and want to win their home opener so bad that they outplay NY? That goes both ways.

You're right, and the Dallas defense is just as good if not better. We put Manning on his back, what, 6 or 7 times last December?

I didn't say anything about their D. They have a good defensive line but it ends there. Their secondary is mediocre. Romo is 100x the QB Campbell is and, like I said, Dallas and Romo are going to pick apart the Giants D with the 12-personnel mismatching.

The way Dallas played on defense isnt good against the Giants. They gave up alot of yards against the run, expecially on Cadillac WIlliams. Another thing is its secondary. They have to play better coverage against the Giants. They were lucky that Leftwitch was missing passes, like the one that he overthrew to Antonio Bryant in the endzone at the end of he 1st half. On offense though it looks like they answered the question on how will this offense play without Terrell Owens.

Exactly. That is why I think the Giants will score 38 and win by double digits. The cowboys defense look like shit against a shitty team.

Dallas did good enough against an offense they couldn't prepare for. New York did not look like the dominate team everyone claims they were going to be this year. I didn't see a team that made me say "Oh shit I don't want to have to play against them."

yea, the nfc is very tight with alot of teams that a buying for a playoff spot. Cardinals, 49ers, Seahawks, Vikings, Packers, Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Saints, and Falcons are all buying for 6 spots so there is no room for error.

no excuse for Cadillac getting an average of 7 yards a carry in the first half. That has to be fixed.

Fun fact: NY only rushed for 106 yards yesterday. Those aren't ooh-ahh impressive.

Cadillac Williams is an absolute beast when he's healthy, but I agree. 7 yards per carry is too much.

Edit: And let's not forget homefield advantage here. I bet Jerry closes the dome and let's the 110,000 fans make some noise.

To be honest, Dallas fans aren't known for making noise. I really do question are home field advantage in all three big sports.

I heard it was so loud in the home opener in the preseason that it almost hurt your ears - and that was 30,000 less people.

Besides, us poor folks in the party platforms will be making plenty of noise.

Hockey does have some loud games, but I think it caters to a smaller devoted crowd. Your everyday sports fan will normally go to the mavs or cowboys games. The die hard true stars fan is usually what occupies the seats for the stars games.

Not at all. I have confidence that if all remain healthy, the Cowboys can score with anybody in the league. Maybe with the exception of NE.

Yeah, the run D looked suspect. So did the pass D, with Ware having a quiet day. Still not worried about it. This O can, and will score with the Giants. Give me a fucking break.....

Right, because NY has such a bad ass receiving corps..... You say that, like they are playing Arizona or NE. All you fools forget they lost Plaxico and Toomer?

I agree that the secondary needs to improve, but I'm not worried in the least about NY's receivers, or DumbFace Manning.

I think what he is trying to say is over the past couple of seasons, the Cowboys secondary has had some weak holes in it.

Did any of you talking out your butts watch the NY/WASH game?

Three FG's and one TD pass will not get it done next weekend for NY.

just because they dont have plax and toomer dosent mean they cant be a good receiver group. Steve Smith is very good and has good hands, Mario Mendehall also has nice speed, alot like Miles Austin, and they have Boss at the Tight End. They have better recievers than Tampa Bay, and a better quarterback. So they need to fix that. If not, at least before the final 5 games where they play 4 good offenses in the Giants, Chargers, Saints, and Eagles.
