Caught that earlier - I thought they were done spending big $$ after getting CC and AJ.

I was expecting Boston to get him.

I say let them strike, their are plenty of other people that are willing to take their places.

I think after last year, when Rodriguez went looking for a trade and then re-signed with NY, it released Texas from having to pay out.

you are correct. (actually I think he declined the option on his contract therefore becoming a free agent, thinking people would line up to sign him for huge money....then oops....)

They better hurry. He faded pretty dramatically after the All Star break.

Fatigue...first full year in the majors. It's pretty common. Anyone with two eyes and a brain knows he is one of the best players in the game...except maybe you.

He stunk the second half last year, period. He'll be 28 when the season starts, and he's been figured out. There have been MANY short-time big-hitters over the years. Everyone knows that, except maybe you. We'll see...

He did stink after the all star break, however, I remember him hitting above .300 in Sept I think. Nice average, but you could say it stunk since it didn't include the power and rbi he had in the 1st half of the season.

You guys are prolly right. He sucks. It had nothing to do with it being his first full season and fatigue set in. That's never happened before. I'm just dumb thinking he is one of the best players in baseball.
