I don't like the touchdown call. Ball broke the plane prior to possession in my opinion. But its the steelers. They usually get the borderline calls (for precedent, see Superbowl vs. Seahawks).

Two feet in the end zone with possession is a TD. Too bad for the stupid penalty. Pitt could blow this.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

let's let a steeler fan weigh in here. bad calls on both sides of the ball... first down for the steelers and no hold on the ravens. but whatever... i'm drunk and it was a damn good game. definitely on par with last weeks game against the boys. either way the outcome, i would have been happy jusy watching a great game. now, i'm elated. AFC North!

not if the ball doesn't break the plane. Your whole body can be in the endzone, its the location of the ball that matters.

You sir, are arong. The ball must break the plane before it's a touchdown; the ball doesn't have to be in the endzone when you catch it but it must break the plane first and you must get two feet down in bounds.

Add you two to the idiot colum...If i'm standing in the endzone and holding the ball with my right arm on the 1 yard line it is NOT a TD.

Thank you. Agree 100%.

Seeing that BS touchdown and watching the Boys get severely penalized for BS penalties yesterday shows me that the officiating crews have some bias. Not any worse than the NBA though.

Ok upon a punt if the guys body is in the End Zone and he touches the ball it's called a touchback and the ball is placed on the 20 yard line... Just for arguement sake... How is this any different? Why should the ball be placed on the 1 yd line and not a TD?

But how does the ball break the plane when it's a punt?... The NFL is confusing!

That translates the same way on a punt, if you are beyond the boundry, your body becomes an extension of the boundry.

Here is a good one, what if the receiver reaches way out of bounds in the endzone, catches the ball, and drags two feet then falls out of bounds. How is that any different? Posessoin would have been obtained with the ball out of bounds, but posession was in the endzone. I guess the goal line extends horizontally out of bounds as well, hence posession would have broken the plane. Only way to explain that one I guess.

Your points are very valid that's for sure, but think that the rule of it is the ball crossing the plane which is the cause for the arguement.... I thought personally they were going to over rule the TD, but with the officiating now and days it's pretty wack!
