Iverson traded

Quote:
Denver has traded All-Star guard Allen Iverson to Detroit in exchange for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess, a league executive with knowledge of the talks said.

Pistons center Cheikh Samb also will go to Denver to make the salaries match in the trade.

Billups helped guide the Pistons to the Eastern Conference finals during each of his previous six seasons in Detroit. He grew up in Denver and played 58 games for the Nuggets over two seasons from 1998-2000.

McDyess has had two previous stints with the Nuggets, and began his career with them in 1995.

Iverson was traded to Denver in December 2006, but was not able to help Carmelo Anthony lift the Nuggets out of the first round of the playoffs in his two seasons there.

The trade gives the Pistons salary-cap flexibility at the end of the season. Iversonís contract, which pays him $21.9 million this season, expires in July.

Billups is owed $36.3 million over the next three seasons and has an additional $14.2 million team option for 2011-12. McDyess will make $6.8 million each of the next two seasons.

I'm tired of football already. Listeneing to 103.3 has drained me out. It's like a 24 hr talk about how bad the Cowboys are, The Mavs are a breath of fresh air. Hopefully they get it together. It's still early we'll see how things go

Wow, that's hard to believe. Iverson was great for Denver..I love how they try to blame Iverson in a way for their poor performance and not being able to help Carmelo lift the Nuggets
Hell if Carmelo would've stayed out of trouble since they got Iverson they would've been alot better.

How? They're the proverbial letdowm. They do every year what the Cowboys are doing this year.

In the sense that it's been such a long time since I've watched a basketball game. And no, the Mavs have done more than what the Cowboys have the past years. I'm not saying they're big and bad cause they've go to the playoffs but when is the last time the Cowboys even won a playoff game?

Like I said I don't think the Mavs are big and bad cause they've recently went to the title game, nor am I happy with mediocrity, I'm just glad it's the beginning of another season.
