What were the final scores of those games? and you now have your answer...losing by 30 is worse than losing by 5 if I'm not mistaken.

lsu lost by more but to a team that is supposed to be in the title hunt again this year, not to mention won it last year. how is losing to a team with that much talent worse than losing to a team that wasn't even picked to be 3rd in the part of the conference

Nevermind I won't use logic...

an undefeated team beat an undefeated team by 5
an undefeated team lost to a one lost team by 30...

which team drops further to the pollsters....it should be painfully obvious to everyone but you apparently. I know you LOVE the SEC but be open minded for just a minute.

OU loses and drops 3 points. Tech doesn't lose and doesn't move. I say those positions need to be switched.

God damn... the Big 12 has badass QB's this season. KSU, OU, UT, TT all have good QB's.

NO NO NO, it should be DFWLS1's, CUMMINS, C6 VETTES.net

Tech and that new "almighty" D almost got beat by nebraska, NEBRASKA! That's why they stayed put. And actually, they're lucky they didn't drop some.

true it doesn't mean anything but voters have in the past judged a loss to a team expected to be great vs another team expected to be great with only slight fall in votes cast, and teams expected to be great that lose to a team not expected to do anything but go to a small bowl game as a huge loss of votes. I just think it is funny.

Texas has a real shot at playing bama or penn state, right now those are 2 and 3, for the title, their D looks like old Auburn D from a few years ago, and their modified west coast offense seems to put up the points they need to win vs anybody.

i feel a LITTLE bit better about the next 3games for UT after watching those games yeserday. If Texas can keep getting pressure on the QBs of the big12 with just the front four, that'll help keep the pressure off that young but improving secondary.

OU should've drop more then to 4. That bullshit. Just shows how many cocksuckers are on OU side. They should be out of the top ten. They lost by double digits.

How does someone get off on celebrating the successes of their team's rivals?

Come on. #1 loses to #5 by 10 points after a very close game and you're claiming that #1 should drop to #11 when #2 is idle, #3 loses to #17 and #4 loses to #11? You've got to be fucking kidding me.

Well Florida should be higher then OU beating the #4 team by 30 points. And OU lost to the number 5 team. I just dont agree with OU being in the top 5.

the fact that you think a very good OU team getting beat by a very good UT team in a great and close game that was competitive from whistle to whistle should drop out of the top 10? Come on, man.

now, what is shitty, is that in the coaches poll fucking USC has somehow climbed back to #4 with that pathetic thing they call a schedule. They had what, 4 turnovers today? Against a good team (lucky for them, they're in the pac10) that would've been their second loss of the season.

You may have a point with the top 5, but #11? That's a bit extreme.

Not to mention, the AP poll LOVES whoever the #1 team is, so they seem to always get the doubt.

As do I. USC has a creampuff schedule and fell to an unranked Oregon State team and still manages #4? I hate the cocksucking that the AP does for them.

Being a HUGE Texas fan I really hate seeing them at #1. I'm really surprised they moved past Alabama, and I'm really surprised that OU only dropped to #4, and Tech stayed put.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

and why's that? It's not like this years team has been squeeking by. I don't think this team is going to overlook anybody the rest of the way. Not saying they couldn't lose a game, just saying they probably won't be looking past anybody.

the way the scores have been so far, it's eerily (sp? you know what i mean) seemilar to '05. We shall see has it ends, ought to be fun to watch either way.

Easy... more of the voters think that UT could put a hurt on 'Bama after Saturday's performance.

It can be a good thing and a bad thing. There's not too many teams that take first place and keep it, now I'm not saying it couldn't happen but they have alot more to lose being in first place. I'd much rather see them in 2nd or 3rd till later in the year. 1 loss for them could knock them right out of the top 10 possibly.

I really don't know that many people that root for a Big XII team just because they're a Big XII team outside of bowl games. I certainly fucking don't.

Nope, not me. But...a team that's not used to that "chuck and duck" offense can be caught off guard. The Big 12 South teams play them all the time, but you get a 'Bama or Penn St. against them, it could be a different story.

By the way...OU is still damn good, and that "double-digit win", was about the closest 10-point win I've seen in recent years. I was nervous about it until the last minute or so.
