How do you golfers warm up?

last week i played at a couple of courses, everytime i played my back nines got better then the first... bridlewood was 52 and 44, next day i played 27 holes, 50, 47, 44... all rounds of golf are played with no range balls... i seem to get better as the day goes on, and was wondering if you guys hit alot of range balls before you play, or do certain certain stretchs... i would just like to have a good front and good back nine at the same time...

I have to hit a few balls on the range if I want to play well at all.

I just hit a few good balls with every other club. I'll generally hit the clubs I hit most; PW, 8, 7, 5, 5 wood, Driver, and then back down. Even if I have more time, that's all I really like to hit.

To me, its more of a mental warm up than anything. Sure I get up on the tee box and stretch my arms and back, but normally spending a few minutes on the putting green helps me to focus better. Sometimes I'll go to the range the night before to get my swing down and then bring that mental image to the game the next morning.

My warm up routine...

1. 4 ibuprofen
2. 2 provigil
3. hit a few range balls....
4. game on

Sucks being old...but I am a firm believer in better living through pharmacology!

stretch out for about 15 minutes and swing a Momentus club for a few minutes.

My 401K is now a 400K (was 301K)

I am a strong believer too, I take about 2 hyrocodine before my round and feel no pain... But it still takes about an hour before my swing comes to me... And beer always helps too

Ya gotta hit at least a smal bucket bro. Have you ever seen the pros warm up??? They are on the range forever, and they do that everyday. You have to get loose and get a feel for the swing. Even if I only get to hit 10 balls, it's still better than none. You're throwing strokes away hitting the course with no practice. You don't have to hit a whole large bucket, just take a few swings with 5-6 different clubs and your game will get a few strokes better.

I usually just hit a small bucket then chip and putt a few, only takes 15 minutes and it works wonder to the scorecard

Before I do any hitting of any sort I have to stretch out my upper back and shoulders for a good 15-20 minutes. I've already got shoulder problems and if I don't stretch then I'll be sore for the next 2 days. After that I'll spend 30-45 minutes at the range hitting balls going through all my clubs for the most part. I don't rush and just take me time out there.

nah... just stretch and hit a small bucket of balls.. if i don't have time to... then i will practice swing with different size clubs.
