Way too many strip clubs in Dallas for PacMan..bad idea

It's obvious they're going from bad to worse. Next is Chris Henry, then Michael Vick, then Ray "The Killer" Lewis.

No, not Pacman. Yeah, we could use another cornerback, but it's not worth it when it comes to Pacman. T.O., and Tank aren't anyway comparable to Pacman! Pacman STILL won't admit that he's been doing the wrong thing. Hell, he just got involved in yet another situation! He only wants to come here because he want to be on a championship caliber team, and because he knows that we need another corner. Not to mention what Jerry did for Tank, has got to figure into this somehow.

Since he's still under contract, the Titans would definately want something for him or they would've cut him loose by now. If we were going to make a trade, I'd rather trade for Roy Williams or Chad Johnson.

The biigest difference between TO and Tank vs PacMan, is that TO never had any legal issues, just locker room issues with his teammates. Tank's deal was bad, but he got popped, and immediately tried to change his ways after he was suspended and released. PacMan, on the other hand, has done nothing but stay in trouble, even after he was suspended and acted like a complete attention whore to boot. The Wrestling thing? WTF?
And the Titans still haven't cut him, so they are gonna be looking for something in return, its a two fold risk, with trading for a guy that may be suspended again and giving something up that may end up being better in the long run..don't do it, Jerry

man you cant argue with his talent, but his rep is horrible. I think that he could be one of the 2 or 3 key players that we need to become a superbowl contender. I predicted at the start of the season this year that we would make the championship game but lose and make a superbowl appearance within the next 2 seasons. If people can stay healthy and we make a couple of key pickups this may happen.

BTW I was wrong about the championship game!

Best something in Texas.... just don't know what it is yet....

If he does come to the Cowboys, he needs to get in shape. Looks like he put on about 30lbs.

I can't think of any "troubled" players we've signed, that have created more problems after coming here. I'm sure there's been a few, I just can't think of any off the top of my head.

In fact, the last person Jerry DIDN'T take a gamble on, still holds it against him and the Cowboys to this day. Fucking Randy Moss and his fast fucking lanky ass.

Moss has already generated himself some negative publicity in NE, and if he was in Dallas and had a court date during the playoffs, people would have made a huge deal about it, Mr. "Gag on Brett Favre's Cock" Thurston would be the first to point it out and do it consistently.

But Moss hasn't caused much trouble over the course of his career. Yeah, this thing popped up. But I'm not yet convinced that he really did anything wrong to that lady. Everything I've read just seems like she's trying to cash in, nothing more.

There is a difference in "problem plays" such as T.O., Keyshawn, Deion ect. and Pacman. Anyone with that many run ins with the law and still gets in trouble just doesn't get it.

Oh I agree. I don't think it's a risk worth taking. My post was more about the troubled people he's signed in the past.

The guy is good, I just don't think the odds would be in Jerry's favor.

maybe after they pick him up, they could go ahead and get mike vicks contract when he gets out. then bring in o.j. simpson as an offensive coordinator, mike irvin as the receivers coach, and call it a day.

Pacman Jones Criminal Record
Posted on: March 2nd, 2007bumpshack
Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones is the poster child for everything that is wrong with the NFL. NFL teams continue to draft thugs and convicts without regarding for their moral character or criminal record. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is considering a proposal where NFL players will be kicked out of the league after three strikes.

Here is a rap sheet look at all of Pacman’s brushes with the law since joining the NFL’s Tennessee Titans:

July 13, 2005- Arrested and charged with assault and felony vandalism after a nightclub altercation. This began Pacman Jones NFL rap sheet. He already had a lengthy one from high school and college.

September 5, 2005- Adam was invited to attend the Nashville Sports Council Kickoff Luncheon. Jones went off on a verbal tirade while being told to wait for his car after the event. He then refused to tip the valet service.

October 2005- State of West Virginia filed a petition stating that Jones had not been contacting his probation officer and that he had not reported his July 2005 arrest. The judge extended the probation for just 90 days.

March 23, 2006- Charged with marijuana possession in Fayetteville, Georgia. He went on to claim that he knew how to beat the NFL’s drug test.

August 25, 2006- Arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication after being ordered by the cops to leave a Murfreesboro night club several times. Jones claimed a woman stole his wallet. The woman claimed that Jones spat on her. The judge in the case gave Pacman six months probation and told him to stay away from the club.

October 26, 2006- Jones was issued a citation for misdemeanor assault after a female student from Tennessee State University claimed that Jones spit in her face at a Nashville night club.

Feburary 19, 2007- The facts are disputed and no charges have been made yet, but Jones was in the middle of a fight and shooting at a strip club in Las Vegas that left one man paralyzed and two more wounded. The fight broke out after Jones showered strippers on stage with $81,000 dollars. The club owner claims Jones was beating a strippers head against the bar while claiming to kill one of the club’s employees.

January 3, 2008- Pacman is accused of punching Wanda S. Jackson in the face at an Atlanta strip club called the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson says Jones reached over the counter and sucker punched her in her left eye.

The above time line doesn’t include his sentence of one year in prison for a bar fight in Morgantown, West Virginia while in college. The sentence was later suspended in exchange for two years of probation (because he is a really good football player).

Here is a look at the options the Tennessee Titans have if they decide to cut Pacman Jones. He doesn’t only need to be cut, but Jones needs to serve some time. He has been given preferential treatment his entire life because he is good at playing football.

WHATEVER IT TAKES!!

I would much rather have D'Angelo Hall, maybe not as good a player, but close to PacMan, plus he's been playing football, not prowrestler for the last year. PacMan will be such a waste of draft picks and/or current players that it isn't even funny...

dude is a waste...

I agree with you 100% but I don't think the 'boys have the cap room to take on Hall's contract, especially with Newman and Ware being up for new deals after next year. Pacman, however, could be had relatively cheaper than Hall and his contract could be structured so that he is out of here the second he makes it rain at the Lodge.

Jerry would sell his soul to have a winning team, why would signing Pacman Jones be any different? Honestly he would be stupid to NOT sign him. Make a clause in his contract forbidding him to fuck up. If he does, he's out, gone, whatever. He comes to a team that desperately needs another corner and with him and TNew on the corners would be sick.

Agreed on all counts. Is he worth the gamble? Won't know unless they take the chance.

I was against this when it was first being discussed two months or so ago. The more I think about it, the more I say 'fuck it, do it'. Sign him to a 1 yr deal for $1MM. Put the same clause in his contract, that's in every single troubled player's contract that Jerry has signed.

And yes, those corners would be fucking nuts. No more getting beat on the long ball.

yeah, the more I think about it, they could backload that contract where it doesn't hurt them at all to sign him, but if he looks at someone the wrong way, they could cut him with no loss. Just gonna depend on what the Titans want in return...
