Well at least we can start getting excited about....

the sorry ass Rangers in a couple of months. I hope the Mavericks can stay on a role and bring us something to brag about.

it's going to get really old listening to people talk shit about Dallas teams choking in their first playoff games/rounds for the next year.

edit: I may just kill Skip "Douche" Bayless sometime within int he next 364 days.

Rangers! LOL!

Mavericks! LOL!

Stars! LOL!

Cowboys! LOL!

It's been a pretty disappointing five or so years for north Texas sports fans.

Instead of being a sports fan, I think I'm going to start hiding in the garage to work on cars.

Hockey ranks just above the Rangers in relevance

The Cowboys let me down, the Mavericks let me down, and the Stars constantly let me down. I have decided to devote all me attention to the Rangers. You ask why, when is the last time the Rangers have let you down. They never make the playoffs, and they never have a winning record. I don't expect them to win so they never let me down. If they win it is a bonus. Its kind of like when you put on that jacket at the start of winter and you find a twenty inside the pocket. You know it was yours but you had forgotten all about it, kind of a bonus.

My Opinion about Baseball in general

You know, baseball, even with all this controversy, is so much of an afterthought to me, that I haven't even been to this board in a while... I think the best thing any true fan can do now, is turn their back on the MLB and go find a nice cozy quaint independent league, with a bunch young guys or hell, even a little league team to cheer for...its so ridiculous that all this is even going on. Now, our children are faced with the dilemma of seeing their heroes dragged the mud of accusations of steriod use and have to listen to the media and their parents and everyone else beat it to death...what a position to be in..
When I was a kid, going to a baseball game was the greatest experience in the world, nice lazy summer day, eating peanuts or the little ice creams in the batting helmets, hearing the crack of the bat, the ump yelling STEE-RIKE and just hanging out, catching a game. Now, we have these supersized, basketball-size head egomaniacs, pumping themselves full of who knows what to compete with every other egomaniac out there....

As of now, I am done with pro-baseball. Bud Selig, George Steinbrenner, Tom Hicks, ARod, Boras, Bonds, Clemens, all the owners, all the players, the blame falls directly in your lap, because even if you claim ignorance, or that you didn't use, you KNEW it was happening, and you didn't have the balls to stand up and say that's not right, that's not fair, instead you lined your pockets with the money of baseball fans everywhere and turned a blind eye..you all BLEEP , you're all pathetic, and I hate you because you took my childhood passion and you destroyed it. Thanks MLB...guess I'll go find a Little league team to root for....
