mcfadden is the single most exciting player in college football, and the most versatile. i don't think it's any contest; he is one of the most talented players in college football.

i understand your point, but the Heisman isn't an MVP. By the Heisman foundation's definiton, the heisman goes to the "Most outstanding player in college football". You can be an outstanding player on a bad team.

and Tebow is an underclassman. We all know people don't vote for underclassmen. Pretty sure Daniel won't win it and Brennan plays to far West and most people chalk his stats up to the system, just like Timmy Chang. That is why I think McFadden has it locked up. I always thought McFadden was going to win it this year, but now, I would be shocked if he doesn't.

I'm not disagreeing, and they shouldn't look at it, but they do.

All of these guys have had a great season, and arguments can be made for all of them. I think historically, they go with the more successful team.

that is what makes this years heisman so interesting, the mold is going to have to be broken. you either go with an underclassman on a good team, the best player on a bad team, or a guy that is categorized as a product of the system.

freaking great player, no doubt about that, but he's a freshman and he's a wide receiver. unless he ran for another 500 yards as a wide receiver, he's not even going to be considered. WRs are just too one dimensional to win the heisman, for the most part.

Agree that Mcfadden should win it as well, but the whole being on a losing team will work against him like it has for so many others.

Just an FYI, 8-4 is not a losing team. DMac is the best player, but I think Tebow will win.

The Heisman is a fucking joke the way they do it now. People had already submitted their votes BEFORE last weekend. If Chase had gone nuts...or Brennan threw for another 8 TDs that might change some votes. College football management is a goddamned farce. No polls until you play a couple of conference games, don't let the coaches vote, and DAMNED sure dont include their vote in the BCS. There is a reason the AP pulled out of the BCS clusterfuck. It's wrong and everyone knows it.

I'm not saying a playoff system is any better, but changes have to be made before the BCS works.

Tebow is the most outstanding player this year. McFadden is talented, and he came up big in the end against LSU, but what was he doing fumbling 3 times in the beginning? Tebow has how many TD's? 50+??? He should win with 80%+ votes. His numbers are insane. I don't think Brennan should be there, nor do I think Daniel should. The RB from UCF deserves a seat. He has amazing #'s, and contrary to popular opinion, he did play against some decent teams. The Heisman is a joke though, and voting should be held until after the bowl season is over.

Tebow SHOULD win, McFadden will probably get it, though. Anytime I see a quarterback run someone over, I take notice, not to mention the other things he did on the field this year. Tebow IS "The Most Outstanding Player in College Football" this year. My .02
