Fantasy Football

im bored and researching fantasy football early. im in a keeper league with a bunch of old high school buddies. we have been playing together now for 10 years. Im going into the league with Stephen Jackson, Larry Johnson, Torry Holt (we all keep 3 players)...

im thinking of trading Larry Johnson prior to the season and draft. Anyone have any thoughts on LJ this year? I know all about his holdout, QB situation, offensive line, etc... but you gotta admit the guy is a BEAST

I think if he gets past those hurdles you stated, the only rb better is LT, so if you cant get LT keep Jonhson

Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson each have their own respective weaknesses coming into this season.

Larry Johnson is currently holding out for a bigger deal and neither side looks like they are going to flinch any time soon. The QB situation really isn't as big of a deal as people make it out to be as Damon Huard was pretty serviceable while Green was out. The biggest thing that takes away from Johnson is the fact he's now lost Tony Richardson (Best blocking FB in the NFL), Will Shields, and Willie Roaf. Thats alot of elite blocking to lose and still maintain what he's been doing.

Steven Jackson loses a bit of his productivity from last year due to the offensive additions St. Louis made in the offseason. Drew Bennett and Randy McMichael are going to take away all those catches/recieving yards Jackson saw last year as Bulger won't have to rely on his RB as a reciever as much with those guys in there.

I'd say they are pretty much on equal ground with a slight edge going to Jackson because of the fact he doesn't have issues with his contract and has a better QB and WR's to take the pressure off of him.
