I think the underlying problem with this team, is not necessarily the team itself, but the entire Rangers organization, from the owner, down to A-Ball. When was the last time a Ranger came up through the organization and was a true star? Lets expand on that, how many have we had period? Pudge and Jando come to mind, but other than that, I can't think of any. Blalock and Tex should have been given their hype, but so far, they got nothing. I don't think the Rangers have ever brought up a pitcher to become a star. They had their chance and traded them all away.....Hershiser, Stewart, Witt come to mind. I honestly don't think this organization will ever be good. They might have a few good years here and there (see mid 90's), but for the most part, they are gonna suck. If a tree or plant has underdeveloped roots, the tree won't flourish. Same goes for the Rangers. Until they get some sort of strong farm system, they are never going to do anything.
