I completely agree. He puts up great numbers, sure, but just doesn't have that superstar/MVP mentality or style.

He deserved it for his regular season. After he blew it in the playoffs I had to take him off my Top Friends list on Myspace.

Good for him, I think he earned it through an exempliary regular season which (I think) the award is supposed to be based on.

Congrats to Dirk, glad the post season doesn't count . His regular season play deserved it though.

No. It should be Nash...again. If Nash hadn't won it the last 2 years, Dirk wouldn't have had a chance. Good for him. Someone should choke him with the fuckin' thing, but he doesn't need any help in that department...

I cant fucking believe that. Dirk fucking sucks. They should hand out the MVP after the whole NBA season. It should be based on the reg. season and the postseason. I can not believe this shit.

Well it's not.

It seems to be awarded to the best player on the team with the best record. And that makes sense to me.

There will be a Playoffs MVP - and it won't be Dirk.

Thumbs up

It's good to see the Three Point Contest Champion won't be the highest individual honor in the Mavericks franchise anymore. Truly a day to remember for Mavs fans.

Because it's a regular season award voted for before the playoffs started.

I have to agree. We wouldn't of went to playoffs if it wasn't for him but when he got there it was like he was a virgin or something, haha!
