I don't know if that would be the right thing to do?
Garnett would help, but trade Dirk?

Never happen, too much of an age difference. They wouldn't get many more years from Garnett, Dirk however, has a lot of years left.

Keep Dirk, get a better leader. Take some pressure off of him to carry the team - he just isn't ready for that yet. Unfortunately, in order to get another great player, we would likely have to give up Terry and Howard. I don't want to see Howard go anywhere. I like Terry a lot, and he is good, but there are many better guards in the league. So I think Terry is expendable, but by himself does not earn enough in a trade. Who could we lose with him? Stack? Ouch. Hmmm... maybe Damp, but mauybe his contract/salary would be a problem.

I think something does need to change. If they keep the formula the same, and this happens again....... then what?

Terry has got to go. With Devon improving and having another offseason to work, he is totally expendable. He should not ever have the ball in his hands. I was so pissed off when Baron Davis was hobbeling (sp) around and Terry could not even get to the basket. Then Davis is pulling up on Terry and busting 3's right in his face.

Overall that was a heartless effort and I new from the first 2 minutes it was going to be a jumpshooting war and we were going to get slammed.

O well FTW!!!111!!!11111 Blow this bitch up. 67 win seasons are pointless with this kind of shit to follow it up.

The Mavs are mentally weak, said it before and will again....they have no real leadership. Losing Nash was a tough one but life goes on. Dirk is great when not relied upon much!

Shouldn't have to depend on one player to carry a team, when crunch time comes ALL players have to step up and blaming just one person for a loss is incorrect. I miss Nash.

It's those damn euro's, when it comes to the big games they crumble and fold under the pressure. He hasn't showed us anything in 9 years in the playoffs. I never believed it when people would say it until now.

I don't think we should trade him its too late now, we need to bring in a true star, not wash ups from other teams. Can you imagine if we had AI? We would win the series.

I love all the "dirk isn't ready yet" or "that's not the thing to do right now". Horseshit! Do you people forget that Dirk just finished his 9th NBA season?!?!? If he hasn't learned to be a leader or at least step it up in the playoffs by now I don't think he will. He has consistently choked in the playoffs other than a few games last season. I have been a huge Dirk fan, got the jersey's and the shirts, but enough is enough! I don't care if someone like Garnett has two more good years in them... that's two years of strong leadership in the playoffs... better than another two years watching dirk turn into a retarded german giant!

The MAVS are just not a good playoff team! They barely made it to the finals last year and choked, then choked this year in the first round. Yes they had an awesome record, but what good does that do you in the playoffs besides getting you a couple of extra home games. Take the Spurs for example...they never have the BEST record, but you better believe when playoff time comes around they are going to be one of the hardest teams to beat. Where-as with the Mavs, well they just showed that they can be beat in 6 games by the number 8th seed playoff team.

They should have played him instead of Dirk, and I thought Bradley was a pussy. I bet Bradley would have shot better than 2 of 13.

Clearly J-Ho is the future and leader of the Mavs.

Keep a core of Dirk, JHo, and Devin. Everyone else is expendable.
