They were talking about A-Rod on ESPN radio today...saying he could be baseball's answer to Barry Bonds. If A-Rod could break 61 HR legitimately, or 73 for that matter, it would overshadow what Bonds is doing now. Also, having 48x HR...he's the next real threat to Aaron's all time record...which will likely be Bond's soon.

He's playing for a new contract next year. He's going to opt out of his current one and try and get a new, longer, bigger deal.

Definately a hot start, but I'm not sure how much good its going to do with the injuries to the Yankee's starting pitchers.

How the fk does someone say A-rod's streaky? I would love to avg 35+ home runs, depending on the line-up get way too many rbi's, depending on the line up again steal up to 40 bases, slug .577, and avg an obp .386...

Streaky no....the fuk'n man...YES

yANKEE FANS are like steinbrenner, they're not loyal. They shit on a-rod an mvp and gold glove winner, just for the hell of it...and now he's doing what he always does and everyone else isn't coming close to him right now so he's a hero.

A-rod=Best ball player in baseball.

streaky because he only hits in streaks and slumps.

yes, everyone has their slumps and streaks, but it's always one or the other for arod. rarely is he hitting just above average for an extended period of time. it's always crap or great. doesn't make for a good teammate when you need him to pull through in the clutch when he's in the middle of another huge slump.

and the grand slam earlier this season was clutch and youc an't say it wasn't, but let's see him do something even half that caliber when he sinks into a slump again...unless he pulls something out of his ass and hits like this for the rest of the year, at which point I will respect him, but still not like him.

but at least he's not a bitchy crybaby like jeter.

yep, you can't spell AROD without "choke" in the playoffs. At least Jeter steps it up then

Pitching is what is hurting the Yankees right now. Their two best guys are on the DL (Musina and Pavano) and they have no other real depth outside of Wang.

No wonder Giambi is texting/calling Clemmons after every game saying "Hurry up."
