Besides, only a retard would jump on a bandwagon that's sitting at 2-4.

Chris Young just pitched 7 shutout innings Man throw him in the mix with Milwood, Tejeda, Padilla and McCarthy and they'd be scary!

Yes, that messed up. He would have been good here. Of course, we wouldn't have a closer right now either. That, or the we'd be stuck with Cordero. If he's righted himself, that wouldn't be a bad thing. It just sucked last year because he cost us a number of games.

Doesn't this make you sick? Rangers sure could use a pitcher like this. Oh wait, they had him.

Padres expected to reward Young
Four-year deal with club option for 2011 on tap for right-hander
By Corey Brock / MLB.com

SAN DIEGO -- On Monday, Padres starting pitcher Chris Young gave the Padres seven scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over the San Francisco Giants at PETCO Park.
On Tuesday, the Padres are expected to give the 6-foot-10 right-hander a four-year contract with a club option for the 2011 season, according to multiple sources.

A press conference has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. PT at PETCO Park, according to a team spokesman.

Young, who turns 29 on May 25, is 1-0 in two starts this season with a 2.13 ERA. Last season, Young won 11 games, led the National League with a 2.41 road ERA and led the Major Leagues in holding opponents to a .206 average.

Hopefully with Jon Daniels as the GM, less of these bone-headed decisions will be made.

Well the up side is that we didn't sign Eaton again with his monstrous 13.50 ERA That and don't forget we also gave up Adrian Gonzales with only Otsuka left here.

Rangers at it again...blowing up in the 3rd inning. Rangers were trailing 5-3 coming to the bottom of the 3rd and the Rangers went off for 7 runs, capped by a Catalanotto 3 run jack. Rangers up 10-5.

You need a good hitter at the bottom of the order to keep the inning alive and get it back to the top of the order.

And LOLz @ this lead slipping away.

Rangers back at .500. If they win tonight, they'll make me eat crow. After the 0-3 start, I said they'd never see an above .500 record.

You gotta think about this, he's also batting in front of the top of the order too.

he's still young, he doesn't even have a full season under his belt. there's relatively zero pressure swinging in the nine hole and he'll get pitched to a lot more with the top of the order up after him. im sure if he keeps it up, or plays like he was projected to last year he'll move up around mid season.

Good points. I think it is inevitable he will move up.Mainly because i don't have faith that Sosa and Wilkerson can get the job done for a whole season.
