Mavs vs. Trailblazers

I don't know why no one started this thread, and the game is over, but I still decided to start it.

Mavs won 86 - 74.

A few notes;
-Josh Howard was out again tonight.
-Avery sat Stackhouse out for restful purposes.
-Mavs just like last night, played good defense and this is a good sign going into the playoffs.
-According to the statistics, every area of their game that has been down since the 6-game road trip, improved.
-According to Laura Green, before the game, Jason Terry indicated that he, Dirk, and Josh will make more of a concerted effort to get into the paint and draw fouls.
-Maurice f'n Ager got into the game early and he did great! 8 points, 3 rebounds, a block, an assist or two, and I think he got a steal also. He also defended well.
-Another good game for Dampier. 8 points I believe.
-Kevin Willis played tonight. When his name was announced, he got a standing ovation.
-Devon Harris had another good game. He's going to be just as bad as Steve Nash if he continues to progress, in my opinion.

They're finally starting to get back to the stride that they haven't been in for awhile.

Ager was hot for the little bit of time he was in the game. Hell, I bet he made the majority of the highlight reel of the game. Nice to see some of the lesser Mavs getting into the game tonight. Didn't see Pop's in the game though, hell I feel asleep the last ten minutes of the game and had to rewind it with the DVR.

Hells yeah! He got what... two dunks?!?!? Both dunks being flashy athletic dunks.

Yeah, did you watch the post game comments from Avery? He mentioned that he was going to play his starters less, and play the bench more inorder to rest them up for the playoffs. He said the same thing this past week to Norm Hitchkiss on The Ticket. It makes sense, because Krosher has been in for Nowitski alot more. Now we see Ager in. I expect Pops to be worked in too. J.J. Barea is too quick to not be in the game more.

Yeah, he looked good. Those two dunks were just garden variety dunks...they were nice power slams. He's got some hops. He actually looked like part of the team last night too. Earlier in the year, he looked like a (wanna be) one man gang. Everytime he came in, he was trying to do it all by himself...like he was trying hard to impress people. But what he did last night will definitely get him some more playing time. I liked the block from him just as much. He was probably 20 ft. behind the player heading to the basket and he made up that ground lightning quick for the block.
