Mav rumors

Heard a report on ESPN that the Mavs are interested in getting Reggie Miller out of retirement and filling their extra roster spot with him.
Miller could be interested since the only thing he lacks is a ring.

I like the idea of Miller much better than Pippen.
Just food for thought.

I agree, don't see it happening. I've never heard of anyone leaving a cushy commentating job to go back and play ball.... don't think that's happened in any sport.

Why even think about messing with this team right now? I don't quite understand why they gave away Anthony Johnson... I know he wasn't doing much for them but he was decent in a crunch and he was well liked by the rest of the team. They have such great chemistry right now I think it would be crazy to mess with it in any way. I love that everyone is finally giving the Mavs the respect they deserve. Even after last season they were just a good team that "choaked" in the finals according to a lot of people. No one can deny their impressive record and I love all these new "sports experts" that have jumped on the bandwagon!

I think it would be crazy to mess with the core of the team. Johnson was certainly not part of the core. Just like JJ and Pop's aren't part of the core. If getting someone of Miller's caliber on the bench means getting rid of Johnson, JJ, and Pop's than I say go for it.

But like I said, it's not going to happen.

Where is Cuban from? Who did he follow when he was there? Just thought I would give a little food for thought.

Mavs got rid of Anthony Johnson to save $$. Keeping him this year and next would costs the team (I think I heard this amount) about $4-$5 million in luxury tax.
