Pacman Jones

has anybody been keeping up with this thug from the Titans?? Beat up a stripper then when asked to leave, one of his "buddies" goes and grabs a gun and shoots 3 employees. This is the 8th encounter with the law for him since being drafted by Tennessee. Hell, you would think he played college ball at Miami.

its amazing how above the law star athletes are. I love sports just as much as the next man but the stars are put on such a pedestal it is insane, I guess the same goes for all celebrities in general.

I am just wondering why he would bring 81k to a strip club if he was not planning on spending it. The story I saw said it was his 3rd brush with the law.

the 3rd this year, 8th since he's been with the Titans. I heard he was showering the stage with money, like throwing it up in the air, then the girls dance, THEN they pick up the money. Apparently one of the girls started picking up the money when they weren't supposed to so Jones grabs the girl by her hair and slams her head into the dance floor. Nice guy.

and i know that was in Vegas, so maybe he planned on playing high stakes poker after spending money on low stakes girls?

where did you hear all this from? The story on espn said that he was doing this as something that was planned i guess like a promotional. It never once said was he involved in any of it said that a female with his group got into a fight with a stripper and that the fight went outside where someone in a car shot at them hitting 2 bouncers and one of the females. Also says he's not a suspect at all or even a person of interest all he was taken in for was as a witness. It also says only 3 times since he's been with the titans has he been in trouble not 8.

well actually a vast majority of the "dancers" that were in the club that night were not local girls, but were actually part of the harlem knights crew that is based out of houston. that right there is funny enough about this story!!!! I mean what the fuck is wrong with this world when people are suddenly importing strippers to las vegas?????

Theres alot to this case that the media has yet to say or is keepinmg shush shush about. Nelly is the one that origionally started the throwing of money up in the air and then pac man not wanting to be outdone joined in. The 40 or so "dancers" that were there obviously bum rushed the area to get their meathooks on the cash and it was pure chaos. While the money was flying and the girls were going crazy over all of it there was enough of a distraction that the houston promoter was able to grab a garbage bag full of pac man's cash and run out of the club.

Why the police are not holding pac man as an accessory is beyond me! the shooter was with pac man, they drove there in the same limo, sat at the same table and left together! There was a search warrant issued for the houston promoters room where they cops recovered the cash, I can help but wonder if the cops kept the cash in exchange for the hush hush leave me out of it routine that pac man is getting!!!!

As a player, he is mediocre at best. He is not an elite CB and shouldn't be given that status by the media. The only thing he's got going for him is a catchy nickname.

"The problem with doing nothing is you never know when your finished."

well, if you were to watch/listen to mike and mike or espn news or tonight on sportsenter you would understand what i wrote. I'm not sure where you got the promotional stuff from, never heard that. I've heard the tape where the manager of the club said what went on and said they have video of it. And i think i got the number of problems from John Clayton, but what does it matter what the number is? He's been in trouble since he joined the team. Hell, he was arrested while still at West Virginia for hitting someone with a pool stick.

what, are you taking up for this thug?

Pac-Man is a fucking idiot, period. I was hoping that he had finally put this crap behind him after he was told not to get into any more trouble or face the possibility of jail-time as a stipulation in his probation from his last incident. Some people just don't learn unless it's the hard way.

The Titans really need to look long and hard about either cutting him or trading him away because despite his obvious talent as a DB, his criminal problems are nothing but a detriment to that team and the people that are trying to turn that team into a winner. There are plenty of good quality DB's on the market that they need to be looking at, especially Nate Clemments.

Jones has faced criminal charges three times since the Titans made the former West Virginia University player the sixth overall pick in the 2005 draft -- all involving incidents at nightclubs in Tennessee.

Jones' lawyer, Worrick Robinson, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Jones, who was in Las Vegas attending NBA All-Star Weekend, did not know anyone involved in the shooting and was interviewed by local authorities as a witness, not as a suspect. Police have not said Jones is a person of interest in the case.

Both quotes were taken from http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2775250

so either you got bad info from Mike and Mike in the Morning or Sportcenter but that is what is written right now.

yeah, and i call total fucking bullshit that Jones doesn't know the guy who did the shooting. And i stated it was the owner/manager that saw Jones beat the dancer. Says they have it on video tape, if true, the tape will be out soon enough.

so i guess now i can say, " so do you believe everything you read"??

either way, trouble seems to follow this guy no matter where the fuck he goes. Stay away from Pacman.

When everything I have seen says he was not part of the actual confrontation, yes I do believe what I have read. Just as everything I have seen reported states he is a witness, not a person of interest or suspect, then again I do not believe he was part of the fight.

This guy needs to shape up either way, as he has a long career ahead of him that can be thrown away quickly by being an idiot.

He was just acting like all the other hip youth urbanite thugs that visited Vegas for the NBA allstar game.

Wonder if the city will want that game back?

They've already said it's not happening again. And it looks like the acquisition of Sac's Kings isn't going to happen either. I think Vegas as a whole was extremely disappointed with the outcome of said game.

I heard something like 12 stabbings, 6 shooting, and a few murders occured over that weekend. Go figure.

I am not going to argue your stats about the stabbings / shootings etc because I dont know actual numbers but if I had to guesstimate I would say your numbers are too low. This city already has a sort of a bad rap for being trashy, but all of these ghetto ass mofo's that came in and over-run the town were the straw that broke the camels back. If it wasnt all bad enough, we all have heard the sort of things about chinese and blacks not really liking eachother much as a geneal rule right? Well all these worthless porch monkeys were here in town for their basketball game right in the middle of chinese new year!!! I am sure some of you know there are many extreme high rollers that are chinese... well 99% of them stayed in their rooms for the weekened. Casino's lost alot of money just from that alone, and money makes this town go round n round. If something happens and the casino's lose out.. the whole city loses out. Thankfully I dont think the nba will be back!

Your both right. I heard it on Mike and Mike as well yesterday morning ( thursday )on the way to work. They also played the interview of the club manager as he stated that when the girl that was apparently new to the game of " showering " started picking up the money.... Jones grabbed her by the head and slammed it. Then when all that other crap happened....... he found her again and beat on her some more. This was said to have happened in the tape.

Then the second story broke today with different stories and how the female in his group started fighting.

They'll be fine without him if they do decide to get rid of him. They'll sign someone out of FA to replace him. Nate Clemments is a name that has been floating around.

don't be so sure some players fit in better than other players do with teams based on their skill and their style of play.
