No more Marty ball....

He is out as the chargers coach. Would he have been a good pick up as the boy's coach??

He definately would have been a great hire for the Cowboys.

However, this makes no sense what-so-ever for the Chargers to do seeing as how there is basically nobody left that is worth a damn when it comes to head coaches.

They are basically down to either Dennis Green or Ron Rivera and neither of those guys are going to put up a 14-2 season like Marty did, even with that stacked of a team.

I think that GM has some video tape on the President/Front Office of that team because he has ran multiple high-end people out of there in the past few years with little to no problem.

I know it would be a low blow to the fans but I bet Cowher would love to coach L.T and Meriman(sp).

I believe since he has retired, he has to stay out at least one year before coming out of retirement.

They are gonna want a lot, esp when they want at least a 1st round draft choice which with the Chargers record isn't that great.

That was a STUPID move on the part of Chargers management. It ranks right up there with the all-time sports blunders.

VERY competitive team - great coach - all assistants + no one left to pick from = Chargers slide in '07

Considering that Cowher and Schottenheimer are close friends, I highly doubt that would happen.
