Stars pick up.....

Nagy from the Coyotes. Should add a little extra scoring punch that they need badly.

I thought they were going to be pretty stale going into the trading deadline, guess not.

I don't know what Nagy's contract is like, but this seems like a steal otherwise. Giving up a player who only has like 4 points on the season and a draft pick that will be at the bottom of the 1st round...

Nagy is pretty quick, should be a good trade.

Wonder if they are going to do anything else before the deadline.

Nagy had a pretty damn good year last year with Phoenix. He should work out well with Dallas...give Turco the scoring help he needs...

Some guys on the radio are saying Turco is done, but he is getting paid way to much to be benched. I wanted him out since last year, Turco has not proven he can win in the playoffs.

Turco is the Dan Marino of hockey.

Not to put Jose Theodore in the same league as Turco, because he's not, but if Turco is done, he and the Stars will have the same dilemma the Avs have with Theodore....getting paid to ride the pine because someone younger and better popped up.

I believe Nagy is an UFA after the season. (Could be wrong though) He will add alot to the Stars tho. Turco on the other hand is still a good goalie, regardless, and has proved at other levels he can win. If the Stars give up on him it really could come back to haunt them.

I agree I still think its too soon to bench turco for smith. I do think smith needs to play more games though. Turco needs to get some rest for the playoffs and then if turk cant bring it home in the first couple games then give smith a try.

Hopefully Nagy clicks really well with the stars. We need all the scoring power we can get.

Nagy should be a good pick up, he came cheap enough. As long as he doesn't become another Turgeon and go to sleep once he gets here. He's always kind of an under-the-radar player but he scores almost a point a game.

Who knows WTF is up with Turco. He can be one of the best in the league, but he just has melt-downs at certain times and against certain teams.

I really hope Tippet puts Smith in goal against Detroit. Detroit has Turco's number. They know it, Turco knows it and Tippet knows it too. Stick Smith in - the worst he can do is the same thing Turco does.

I'm not really a fan of the Nagy deal. What the Stars need is a winger who will fly downt he wing and blast the puck on net. THey do not need another player with a 4-1 assists/goals ratio. Nagy is a winger version of Riberio. I'm afraid he'll work out like when the Stars tried to move Turgeon to wing. Turgeon put up decent points but was not a game changer. The Stars need a momentum changing shoot first type of player. The Stars will be more creative and Nagy will help the power play, but not as big a change as a "40 point player" suggests.

It depends on who they put him with. I have seen one thing saying putting him along side Modano and Lehtinen. If that is correct it could jumpstart Modano and really help them out.

They really need Modano to get going production wise.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have to ask, who is gonna set up who? Nagy and Modano. And how will Lehtinen settle in?

I still think they need another good move, or even better bigger move before the deadline.
