Good game by the Colts. Manning is the hardest working QB in the league and this ring has been a long time coming.

Yes, I especially would like to thank all of the mutiple haters (cough, cough bitter Cowboy fans) for making this such a juicy victory. It's one thing to slam an average team/player. But to talk endless shit about a team that is clearly chaimpionship bound and then that team goes all the way and wins it all makes it so much greater for their fans. I just have one word to sum up the season. Face

They played a lot better than I had expected, or Chicago played much worse than I expected. That doesn't really matter, though. In light of tonight's events, I'm going to hold off calling them overrated choke artists for 6-9 months.

Manning deserves it. He got the 400lb. gorilla off his back, and might just get better with this victory and the experience of winning a Super Bowl.

Neal and jw33,

Congrats to your team for winning it all. You guys have been great fans all year, stood by your team even when they weren't looking so hot.

First off, the MVP should have gone to the O line, they were incredible. I'm a Manning fan so it's good to see him finally take home a ring - he deserved it. He made my all time top-5 QB list with that win. Dungy is awesome too, he got shafted in TB, so it's good to see him kicking ass.

No hating here, at all. I hope the Cowboys blow the shit out of your team next year though.

I'm still trying to figure out why they're making such a big deal about a black coach winning the Super Bowl. I know it's the first time it's been done, but really, aren't we further along than this? We still have to resort to making everything something "breakthrough" whenever a black person does it for the first time.

I'll just shake my head and watch us, yet again, go back about 60-70 years ago...

ummm... the Colts road to the championship didnt come through Dallas. They came sight seeing once, but went home with a big "L". I'm not sure who you are thanking for what anyways, you werent exactly the Superbowl MVP from your couch.

Ok ya'll can dismiss the other two comments as long as you take this one to heart. Peyton Manning was NOT the MVP of the Superbowl. Not that he did bad, but he was not the biggest reason the Colts won on Sunday. He was only given the MVP honor because the media turned this into Manning vs. Bears. His performance did not equal that of Dominic Rhodes (who should be MVP), or even Bob Sanders who also was more of a reason for the win. Two more deserving players were screwed out of the MVP because everyone was so focused on Peyton getting his Superbowl ring. Football is a team sport, and if Manning was the QB of a different team, he would have been watchin the game from home.

i totally dont understand why people hate on manning, he is the best QB in football. My buddy's girlfriend tried to convince me that she hated him because he is cocky and arrogant, he didnt even celebrate the first TD pass to wayne when he was wide open. The man will prolly go down as the greatest ever, since he's basically marino stats wise with a ring. So please either get on the hater bangwagon and dont ever get off or apply for the greatness bandwagon for greatness and us that have always been on it will consider it.

Now that the Colts have won the Super Bowl, that means we'll be seeing even more Peyton Manning commercials.

I agree. I don't understand why people need to wish failure on a guy. It's not like he's cocky or arrogant. He doesn't make bold predictions, he doesn't talk shit, he doesn't flip the fans off, yet he draws so much hatred.

Just for the record I do not have any particular problem with Manning, I dont like the entire Colts organization, just my opinion.

exceptions; Bob Sanders, Addai/Rhodes, and Vinatieri

Its not that I hate the Colts, they are just one of the teams in the NFL that I do not happen to cheer for. The comment was more for the fact that ya'll did not think that I was just hating on Manning. Im not a Manning fan, mostly because Im not a Colts fan. Other than that I believe he is slightly over rated. He is a very good QB, but would not be on an all-time top 5 list without his receivers and O-line. People think its all him, when he is only 1/3 of the equation. Then again, that goes for more than just Peyton. The only other thing I have against him is that he did not deserve to be the SB MVP. Should have been Dominic Rhodes hands down.

That is the most idiotic statement ever made in the Sports Central forum, ever. Congratulations you fucking bonehead!

Name me one guy that would have success at QB without O-linemen in front of him or receivers to throw to.

Good Lord, they'll let anybody in here...

I'm not a Colts fan either, I just give the guy his due. In College, I thought he was a bit over-rated, I have since changed my tune. He can throw the deep ball, and he's accurate on short passes. He's cool under pressure. A good QB is going to make your Widereceivers look good and a good 0-line is a must. Name a great QB who won the big one without a good O line.

Name me one guy that would have success at QB without O-linemen in front of him or receivers to throw to.

Good Lord, they'll let anybody in here...
I noticed you left off the part where I said that the statement went for more than just Peyton. Don't argue a point I already made.

Like I was saying, Peyton is a very good QB, Im not taking that away from him. Im only saying that imo, he is a bit over-rated, and should not be SB MVP. He is the MVP of the team for the season, but not that game. As for being over rated, he is not the only person I feel this way about, and I dont have anything against anyone who does not agree with me. There are very good points to the other side of the argument that are very hard to argue against, and I would probably lose the debate. But my opinion is my opinion.

Hey jackass - it goes for ALL FUCKING QBs.

How the fuck is a guy supposed to throw a ball and put up good numbers if there isn't an offensive line in front of him and receivers to throw to? It's just such a self-evident scenario that it doesn't warrant even mentioning.... until someone tries to say that a QB is only successful because he has a good supporting cast. Well no shit... that goes for ALL good QBs. Duh.
