LOLz @ Brett Favre

Is he ready to lead another fourth-quarter comeback?

LOLz @ Brett Favre's streak of 225 consecutive starts being more impressive than Cal Ripken's 2,600 consecutive games.

Maybe I'm biased, but...

But, oh, yeah! Cal Ripken didn't fucking suck at the end of his streak.

They are hardly comparable... one is a day by day toll while the other is a once a week 2 hour constant hitfest.

They are both equally impressive within thier own right.

Farve hardly 'sucks' now. He's just not nearly as consistant as he used to be. He can throw 4 TD's in one game and 0 in the next. He's still better than half the guys in the league.

I don't care if it's a "hit fest," I'll say Cal Ripken's streak is more impressive any day.

And guy's c'mon, give him a break, he's a Gunslinger!!

it's still not comparable IMO. They are two totally different effects on your body that are both equally as hard on you.

The head coachMike McCarthy is going to be in the same boat as Jimmy Johnson in Miami, bench Dan Marino the greatest QB of all time (no SB trophy BTW) and feel the wrath of the city and media. When its time to go, it's time to go. Pack (no pun) your shit son, it's time to warm that bench or get back to Kiln and start working on getting that shithoe cleaned up...'H'

are you serious, for any nfl player to play just 100 games in a row is something. the abuse their body goes thru in one 16 game schedule is worse than any baseball player after 10yrs.

there was a study done a few years back about what it is like to play in the nfl and being hit and it said it would be like running full speed into your garage door like 100 times or some shit like that. I bet ol' cal wouldn't made it past 20 if he had to do that.

Yeah I mean there are arguments for both sides. The thing that amazes me about baseball is the everyday factor. I wonder if Cal Ripken ever just had really bad diarrhea and held it in every inning.

That and you know he's played with a massive hangover before and several times with the flu, colds and allergies. Favre has played with broken bones though, something no one in baseball ever does. That and he gets paid a hell of a lot more than Ripken did and half of his games were played in the winter in Green Bay. Green Bay in December or Baltimore in August?

According to Wikipedia, Ripken twisted his knee protecting his pitcher during a fight with the Mariners. He wrapped up his knee and, rather than just playing one inning, played every inning for the next two weeks. And that's at shortstop, not designated hitter.

LMFAO.

Not even a comparison.

Showing up to play 2600 consecutive baseball games is like showing up for 2600 Algebra II classes. Not terribly difficult or strenuous, but pretty damned boring.

Twisted his knee? TWISTED HIS KNEE? Are you kidding? LMFAO!!

I'd like to see you show up to 225 weekly car crashes.

Yeah, he's pretty much sucking. What really sucks is losing confidence in your Receivers by hitting their hands and chest with the ball only to watch it bounce out and into a Safety's hands...

He's a fucking QB, I like everyone acting like he gets hit 100 times a game.

Cal Ripken > BFavre.

Cal Ripken > BFavre.
How many times was Ripken EVER hit playing baseball. Not to mention everyone keeps saying 'he's just a QB'. LOL... that's easily the most injury prone position on the field.

It's just not comparable... totally differnent effects on the body

Favre is getting old but...he has no WR's & Ahman Green is hurt plus he has 2 rookie off..linemen. So any top QB in the league would suck in Green Bay...I would take Farve over Bledsoe any day...

I would, too, but that doesn't mean that they both don't suck.
