Fantasy QB Choice

D. Bledsoe and the boys vs the skins, or D. Brees and the Saints vs. the Packers.

I had this choice to make this week as well and i'm going with the pro's on this one=Brees. Think about it, if Rex Grossman can carve up the Packers secondary, what do you think Brees is going to do to it? Meanwhile, Bledsoe is about as reliable as a weathermans forecast. You might get a good game out of him, but odds are against that. I'm going with Brees this week.

I hope Bledsoe does ok. I'm in a 2 QB league (also have Delhomme) and I don't want my brain to explode having to think about putting David Carr in there to replace him.

I have McNabb and Delhomme.

He will be. You just have to play the defense strength matchups.

Bledsoe against a really tough D isn't a good matchup.

Unless you have a QB friendly league there really isn't all that much differnence in say a #3-8 QB and one at the bottom of the board after you account for strength of schedule.

I personally would rather have a QB like Alex Smith or Jon Kitna over using a high draft pick on a guy like Bledsoe. Pretty much any QB playing on a sub .500 team is going to rack up decent stats cause they are usually playing from behind.

Too many mags and online sites promote the allstar QB position when in reality a guy in the 10-20 range draft wise is really not that far behind... especially considering the abilty to draft a middle of the road QB much later in the draft thus using the first few rounds on high caliber RB's and WR's.

Thanks for the help fellas. Brees had a monster game last week.

How do ya feel about Brees for week 3?

Choices are: B. Farve packers vs. Det. Lions, or D. Brees vs. ATL. Falcons on MNF?

BTW- Do ya think Grossman is for real? Two solid games for the CHI QB.

It's a tough one, Favre is a here one day, gone the next QB, but 8 times out of 10 he's on the money when it comes to points. And now that him and Greg Jennings seem to be connecting, looks like good things out of Favre.

As for Brees vs Atlanta, i dunno, I think he could have a good game, because they are going to be concentrating on shutting down Bush.

I would go with Brees again. Brees has alot of weapons to work with. Only knock is all the tough defenses he is going to have to face. Detroit got lit up by Chicago after a strong outing against Seattle to wash out their performance in week 1. It's hard to say how good or bad that defense is, at this point. Atlanta doesn't appear to be dominant against the pass so far this year. So I'd take my chances with Brees. I just don't trust the inconsistency of Favre.

I'm not ready to pass judgement on Grossman. I'm shocked that he's playing so well, but I keep waiting for the real Grossman to show up.

It is kind of hard to figure out who the real Grossman is due to the fact he hasnt played a full season yet. I think if he stays healthy he could be a solid starter.

I've got a choice to make now that Deangelo Williams had a pretty decent game last week. I can't decide if I want to start him or Deion Branch in my utility spot. Or maybe I'll bench Javon Walker againt the Pats. What do you guys think?

Code:
WR Santana Moss @ Houston
WR Javon Walker @ New England
W/R Deion Branch vs. NYG

Bench Deangelo Williams @Tampa Bay
I'm really thinking about Deangelo because 1st of all, obviously RB's get the most touches and 2nd in anticipation that Tampa Bay keeps sucking total ass.
