So... TCU has it now, huh?

The current longest winning streak in NCAA football. Is this right or am I missing any other team?

Ya, unfortunately, I don't see this "dynasty" lasting too long.

Well, i'm not knocking my boys. They DID beat OU last season. And Tech didn't blow out SMU, and what was the final against UTEP? I think they have a decent chance of beating Tech.

LOL... with a schedule like theirs, I'd be embarassed for them if they didn't! Honestly, I see them losing to Tech this weekend.

from the sound of things, this game is going to be intense. although it is a home game, there will be a large amount of red in the stadium this Saturday. Hopefully the purple can drown out the red though.

I look forward to the game. Does anyone have some tickets they want to get rid of. I want to amke the trip from Lubbock. It should be a well played game. Hopefully we can get J Hicks back. TCU has a good squad, does any TCU fan know if their RB's will be back? Good luck to both temas, but hopefully Tech can pull it out.

After watching the tech game saturday night . . . as long as TCU just throws the ball 5 yards up the middle, TCU will keep the record. Tech's weakness are the linebackers. They don't have any.

Thursday before 2pm is the last time students can pick up their free student tickets. After that all the tickets not picked up will go on sale.

Might want to contact the boxoffice to find out more. Tickets will be $45.

Or try Ebay. I know there are lots on there for this game.

those are going for way more than face value though. I dont think people realized more tickets would go on sale.

I have even considered selling mine and just tailgating for the whole game. Although i think this game will be a little better than most.

Last game against UC Davis, i went in, drank a pint of crown with a buddy, and went back out to tailgate before halftime.

We never open well on the road, our D will be fine. They are just real young. The offense is clicking, and it will be unstoppable if Hicks returns. I can't wait for the game.

Tech never has a good game on their road opener, but they seem to win it always. It has ahppened the last 4 years I have been here. We will be fine. We really need to get Jarrett Hicks back tho. Anybody know what the spread is on the game?

Wow Denny and all you other guys on here posting happy TCU thoughts, you are really reaching with this one. You had to wait till TU lost before you could post this when in fact up until Ohio this last weekend TU as 21-0….. and TCU was 11-0…

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not a TU promoter obviously but this is a stretch. Also everyone fails to mention that TCU is the ONLY team in Texas (that is regularly worth a crap) that IS NOT in the Big XII. So therefore during the regular season (lets take 2005 for instance) they did not have to play against the pending National Champion at ALL.

Come on now….I understand the enthusiasm but that is seriously reaching….

Just because we are not in the Big12 does not make us a worse team. There are many different confrences with tons of teams. Big12 is definatly not the power house it used to be. I'm not saying we are a Top 5 team in the nation, but we have earned our wins to get this streak, and 3 of them have been against Big12 teams (OU, ISU, BU). It has been a nice run, and will be tested on Saturday. We will see where it takes us.

At no point did I say that TCU is a worse team or that the Big XII is the biggest powerhouse in the nation. But I will say that the Big XII is more of a power house then the Mountain West. Also, going along with that statement if TCU was in the Big XII there is a 96% chance that they would have lost to TU as well.

Again I am not saying that TCU is not a decent team...all I am saying is that you guys are seriously reaching....Come on man....OU, at game one was searching to fill a 5 year QB spot.....Baylor....lets just say many have always said TCU should be in the Big XII instead of Baylor....and ISU...that was probably you biggest accomplishment and it came at a great time.

Please do not get me wrong...I am happy for you guys and your streak but jumping on this bandwagon right after TU's loss is a bit much and far fetched I think. That is just my opinion though.

I hope we have a great game on Saturday and above all no injuries on either side.

1. Sorry for hurting your feelings, I never meant to do anything like that from making this thread. I wish I could take it back, I really do.

2. Of couse I had to wait until UT lost to OSU. How else could TCU have the current longest streak? Duh.

3. I wasn't even praising them if you noticed later in the thread. I even questioned the point that their "dynasty" would have a good chance to end this weekend and how the rest of their schedule is filled with nothing but babyshit.

You whine worse than Maston when someone makes an Aggie joke Are you THAT insecure about "your team"?

Whats Techs largest winning streak in the past 5 years? True, we are in a lesser conference, but we are slowly moving up. TCU isn't as big of a school (student wise) as Tech, but we are doing well, and growing.

cbrjames... Just off the cuff, we had an eight game winning streak 2004-2005 that was ended when we lost to the Pending National Champions....

Denny

1. You haven’t hurt my feelings at all. But you can think you did it that will makes you feel better.

2. I understand that. It is just "reaching" for some recognition in my eyes considering their past and future schedules.

3. Touché

I have not whined I have tried to state facts. Actually, besides the obvious subject of my posts I have tried to express that I think TCU is a decent team that should be in the Big XII and that it will be a good game this weekend.

Well, i don't know about being in the Big XII just yet. I'm just aggrivated because you think Tech is going to walk all over us. Maybe not 70-33, but still.
