I blame the coaching staff for not telling them to stop shooting 3's and start attacking the rim.

id say that foul on wade that was called on dirk - wade clearly hit dirk which wouldve given the mavs the ball back . . . that call really hurt

Dirk had nio business passing to Damp there on the floor. It did not work out, but we got to the finals a year early. We took steps in the right direction. I am admitting the heat outplayed and outcoached us more than anything. Wade is great. Despite it all i support my team thru thick and thin. MFFL

i can't believe the 2 phantom fouls called againt wade, 1st and 2nd quarter, nobody even touches him, he falls down and gets the foul calls. i can't believe the one where wade throws his elbow into a set dirk, and dirk gets called. if they show a replay of the last terry shot at the end, they heat guy has a handful of jersey right before he shoots and no call...

oh yeah, the mavs should've played better, but one's gotta vent!

very true.. but that just proves what everyone has been yelling about the last couple of days. Wade can jump into people and get calls, he can hit others and get calls. Sick.

Damp's not exactly known for his soft hands. The game should have never come down to a play like that. The Mavs fuck up was a team effort. Miami looked hungrier tonight and played like it.

Whoever blames the officials, you are retarded! The Mavs had so many chances to win that game. The better team won.

Really...what the fuck is their problem? It's like we go through that every game. It's like they have the shortest memories ever, and forget that they have to stop taking 3s and sissy jump shots. Happens every game.

holy crap they looked horrible with missed shot after missed shot. avery should have been foaming at the mouth pissed off and stopped that bs early. In the first they were driving with energy. Then it just stopped. The heat wanted it more. they played smarter and made us look stupid again. Go Mavs 2007!!!

the way the mavs played tonight was absurd. how in the hell are you going to go from a first half leading 5-10 points to go into the second trailing?!? it seemed like they just gave up. why would you not go for the drive??? fuck the jump shot. clearly there were some scrupilious calls that were b.s. but avery screwed up. why not put in keith van horn?? no lets give it to terry so he can miss all night long.....and avery should know better then to let dirk have the ball at the last few seconds when it counts.....this was probably the shittiest game ive seen the mavs play. hopefully there will be some major changer for us to win it without a doubt next year.

Wow! Let me vent.

After watching the mavs choke I came to a conclusion. Dirk will not lead us to a championship. Dirk is a really good player but he buckles under pressure. I know he is not the whole team but he is the superstar/go to guy for the mavs. He attacked the grizzlies/spurs/suns but not the heat? I've realized he is a Scottie Pippen. What do I mean by that you wonder. He needs a another go to guy and the mavs don't have one. You can talk about how deep our bench is and blah blah blah...but no one comes in every game and delivers. We have players that sometimes come in and step it up. The heat won with a 1-2 punch(shaq/dwade). He still has room for improvement but I still believe with him as our only superstar we will never win.

I never watch basketball. Don't even really like it all that much. Although I have watched the Mavs during the playoffs, mainly because they kicked the shit out of the spurs and we have some business partners in San Antonio who think the Spur's shit don't stink.

Anyway, I can't believe that the NBA just basically lets the refs decide a national championship. There were so many fucked up calls in that game (going either way, not just against the Mavs) that I don't see how people watch this shit. Why not just have the refs flip a coin and decide who wins??

You know what I think it was?

The refs fucked the Mavs up mentally. They jumped out with a great start and somehow after the BS foul calls on Wade, when the air commited the foul, the team lost hope, knowing the refs were going to call BS calls and it got to them mentally. Easy and simple, that's when the hope and game went away.

If I were Avery and the team, and with all of those BS calls, I would've gathered my team together and walked the fuck off the court and into the locker room, giving up the game. I bet it would'nt have made the Heat feel as good, knowing they won the Championship to a team who walked off the court!

Maybe Cuban should get a Championship poster made up of the Heat and having the picture in the background of Wade catching the ball with his foot in the frontcourt, then proceeding to the backcourt!

I heard somewhere that Ben Wallace is going to be a free agent this year. I think Dallas should take a long look at who they have at the center position. Damp isn't worth what we are paying him, and Diop plays good ball but not champioship ball. Dallas needs an upgrade at center before they'll win a title.

Overall - yes, team loss...

Possibility to be a hero? Dampier had the opportunity, with a pass from Dirk and only one man covering him, with noone else around...he could have made a shot, but butterfingered the ball...

Suppose, by some fluke that the Mavs managed a few more points and won that game, and they suppose they won the next game just the same way. I'd be happy, but I'd forever have an "*" in my mind next to that championship because fuckin' Dirk can't take it to the fuckin' rack. Super stars step up, losers don't.

I don't think it was any player specific. The Mavs weren't ready to win a championship. I think they will learn from this loss, and hopefully they will be a better team next year because of it.

I know exactly how you guys feel . I would have thought the Spurs would have waxed Dallas's ass in 5 but it didn't happen . I also didn't think Miami had enough for Detroit but they did . Miami deserved to win , anyone that can go 4 in a row in the finals is playing some bad ass basketball .

Congrats to the Mav's for their best season ever and congrats to the Heat for winning it all and going through a couple of difficult teams to get there .

I blame me.

My first NBA finals game I attended and I didn't scream at Shaq loud enough.

Did see a rather large African-American male (probably 6' 4", 250-260) and a smaller white guy (5' 8", 165-175) almost get into it.

But it was greatness when the LCD screen showed David Stern in attendance and the crowd booed for like a minute.
