Game 7 Carolina vs Edmonton

Any plans as far as watching it anywhere? Or predictions?

I'm sticking by what I said before Game 6. I think Carolina will take it.

I haven't watched any of the Cup Finals (I keep forgetting it's on). But I'll be watching this one.

Seeing a team skate the cup is always good TV (Unless they do it in Reunion and aren't the Stars ).

This series has been impossible to predict, but I will be wearing my Oilers foam finger tonight.

2-1 'Canes in the 3rd period. Great game so far. The Oilers just need to keep feeding Pisani! 14 goals so far in the playoffs.

3-1 'Canes on an empty net goal. Great run by the Oilers, just not enough tonight. Congrats to the 'Canes on a great Stanley Cup victory!

Conn Smythe goes to Cam Ward of the 'Canes. Well deserved, but I think Pisani should have gotten it.

Its bad to see a team like Edmonton lose, but there are some players on Carolina that i loved seeing win it. Neither team has anything to hang their head about, as it was a hard fought series that up until the empty netter could have swung either way.

After two years, I forgot how great the skating of the cup is. Gives me goosebumps watching it every time.

LOL! Does that town even still exist!? J/K Talk about a small market. Although one does not immediately think of hockey when talking about Carolina.

Side Note: I would give my left arm to have the Stanley Cup Handler's job. The things he'll see for the next month or two.

You think it's a coincidence that the Cane's colors are the same as NC State (who plays their home games in Raleigh) and Dale Jr. (Probably NC's biggest celebrity)? You wouldn't be able to tell if those were Canes shirts or #8 shirts.

I hate seeing these old small-market teams moving south and winning cups (Dallas included). How awesome would it be if Minnesota, Quebec, and Hartford had won cups in the past 7 years? Oh well, got to follow the money if you want to stay afloat I guess.

Yeah, they sure as hell did not give it to them easily. Good game last night - frankly, I like the oiler team a little better - but, I have to cheer for the American team. All around good hockey though.

Uhh, the Montreal Canadians (Quebec) were still a hockey team last time I checked. Perhaps you're referring to the Winnipeg Jets (Manitoba)? That's what I want to see, bring back the Jets, bring back the Whalers. Those were the good ol' days.

Montreal still has a team but Quebec City does not, since the Nordiques were moved to Colorado. Frankly, Colorado probably never would have won a Cup either because the would have been no way that Montreal would have moved Roy to the Nordiques.

Ward received the Conn Smythe? I think it would have been better suited for Pisani, Staal, or, as much as I hate to say it, Brind'Amour.

Yeah Ward got it, I was sure Brind'Amour would get it. Staal lit up the early rounds but wasn't an MVP player in my eyes after about game 4 of the Buffalo series. I don't see giving it to Pisani unless the Oilers won, and still i think Pronger and Roloson should recieve harder looks than Pisani.
