Cool Time to break out the brooms?

LOL, I'm j/k - sorta.

Game 1 - Mavs have one of their worst postseason performances, and were way behind in every statistical category except for points on the board. And that STILL resulted in a 10pt win.

Game 2 - Neck and neck game until Stackhouse lit it up at the end of the second quarter, and Dallas drives away until the lead is stretched to 27pts. Then most of the starters sit down and a Heat "comeback" ensues, resulting in only a 14pt victory.

I know the Mavs will be on the road, but that doesn't seem to affect them too much, they've won the last three series in the opponent's court. Shaq is a complete non-factor and while Wade is phenomenal, he is not enough to carry the entire team. I think the Mavs can depend on their deep bench to pull them through this series, and I can see it happening in four games (although I'm predicting five ).

I think the Mavs already defeated two of the three best teams in the NBA when they beat the Spurs and the Suns (did not have to play Detroit).

8-1 Against teams that the Mavs would've lit up like a Christmas tree. I say Cuban and the boys will be hoisting the trophy Sunday in South Beach!

In the East.

The mavs had one of the best if not the best road record in the NBA. All the need is one out of the 3. To take the crowd out of the game the mavs have to make their shots early get a small lead and the crowd is history.

If the Mavs win Tues the Heat will give up.

I don't think Shaq's going to be a factor as long as we keep double teaming, but Wade has been having some off games. I still don't think you can count out Pat Riley and the Heat just yet, we do it in 5, but 6 would still be nice so we could do it at home

I had my teams before I moved here. Not that it matters, too many homer's here for me to root for any of the local teams anyway.

Most Texas transplants, like myself, don't root for local teams because they have had other favorite teams longer. Just because you move somewhere doesn't mean you have to like the teams that are already there. Funny thing is, I liked the Mavs before I moved here, around the time of the 3J's fiasco, but didn't move here until 2000. I'll always root for the Penguins though.

I don't really get how everyone freaks out after this has happened though. We were up 2-0 so we have that advantage. But as soon as it turns 2-1, doesn't it seem like people throw all those statistics out the window? I mean just because it turned into 2-1, doesn't mean that the 2-0 percentages no longer apply.

It's kinda hard to explain my point, but it seems as if now they use percentages of teams coming back from 2-1 and totally disregard that it was 2-0. And every series that was 2-1 wasn't necessarily 2-0 at some point. Just seems like the big analysts toss their own logic out the window.
