Looks like Josh Howard is starting tonight and Van Horn is going to be in the starting line up as well. I feel better about our chances.

Although listening to it on ESPN 103.3 ain't so bad either. Better than reading the play by play on the internet.

Man, I don't think you could ask much more out of Dirk for a first quarter.

11 min, 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

Looks like Dallas is making Phoenix play Mav's ball for a change. Diop is doing an awesome job from what I can hear.

They aren't doing that in the 2nd quarter though. They are running with the Suns again and they just gave up the lead.

47-45 Suns with 1:02 left in the half. They held the Suns to 17 points in the first quarter, but have allowed them to score 30 in the 2nd. Not gonna work.

52-47 Suns at half. Again, allowing the Suns to score 35 points in a quarter isn't going to get it done.

Was it Terry that missed like 4 shots in a row toward the end?

No, he missed 2 in a row and then hit on the third towards the end of the 2nd quarter. 2-5 for Terry in the 2nd quarter.

I hope so. Dallas did an EXCELLENT job in the 1st quarter of slowing things down and making them play Mavs ball, but it was a totally different story in the 2nd.

Barbosa is in foul trouble with 3 so that might help a bit.

F*ckin Harris and Stackhouse need to quit turning the ball over. The Mavs in general played sloppy in the 2nd period, but those 2 were pathetic.

Oh Jose...one thing you don't get on ESPN radio is to see the interview with David Hasselhoff. Can't believe he came to watch the game.

He's big in Germany and Dirk said he was a big fan of Hasselhoff's. LOL! Greatness.

Nice job by the Mavs tonight. They got down low on the Suns and got them into foul trouble/got to the line. Dallas must do a better job at the line with them shooting only 69%.

Biggest/Most Key stat of the game: Steve Nash had 1 shot and 2 points in the 4th quarter!!!!

How about Josh Howard coming back from a bone bruise to play 39 minutes and score 29 points.

Dirk also lit it up with 30 points.

1-1 Series headed to Phoenix now.

I thought Nash had 2 points in the 4th.

Whatever it was, I'm glad the Mavs stopped him!!!!!

My bad. He hit a last second shot. Make that 1 shot and 2 points in the 4th quarter. Still

I'm glad FT shooting didn't cost them this game like it did in game 1 against S.A. We can't afford to be giving games away.

Dallas needs to win game 3 to they can at least leave Phoenix with the series tied. I'm definitely more uncomfortable playing Phoenix than S.A. While S.A. was a monkey on our back, I knew we could play with them. With Phoenix, I feel like they can just run off and leave us at any moment. And no lead is safe against them.

It was great seeing Dirk blush when asked if he knew Hasselhoff was in the crowd.

As long as Dallas continues to go down low on the Suns they will get fouled. They will try to contest Dallas' shots and fouls will be an eventual by-product like they were tonight.

I'm okay with Dallas splitting in Phoenix and coming back here for game 5, but I'd much rather have Dallas win both of those and come back home to try and put them out.

I still can't get over Josh Howard basically playing "Possum" with everyone!

Man, I missed the whole game 'cause I was at a graduation. By the box score and highlights it was a good game. Glad they got the win.

This series will go 7 games, mark my words. I think Avery Johnson and the Mavs bench is too siverse to lose to ANYONE in a 7 game series. Dallas came out and played well in game 1 but lost due to the Suns ability to run the floor. They came out in game 2 and put Diop in the paint to disrupt Steve Nash's presence in the paint. Look what happened, Steve took one shot and had 2 points in the 4th quarter. It forced the rest of the Sunds to win the game. Let's face it, the Suns matchup wise are at a disadvantage at every spot on the floor except for Nash's position.

Mavs in 7.
